Planning on going in november, first time trip to the states. Does anyone know if its worth booking the flights now or waiting a few weeks for the prices to drop? I checked a few weeks ago and LHR to JFK was coming in at £434 return, now the same flight is £16 cheaper. Not a great deal cheap I know but every little helps
Do you care who you fly with?
If not, then Kuwait airlines are coming up with £259 direct from heathrow with flights up to 30th November through the flight centre.
Continental are the next best at £392

Am going to NY in October - land saturday lunchtime and leave tuesday evening. Would like to see a show while I'm there - is there a list of all shows that are on? I've found Broadway.com, but not sure if that covers ALL shows or not?
Also, where is good to get tickets from? I know they have half price tickets booths, but have heard the queues are a couple of hours long, and not sure if I fancy wasting nearly half a day in a queue, as we're not actually in NY that long.
Thanks very much0 -
For discount tickets have a look at

Hi all,
I’m off to NYC on Thursday this week & I’ve been told that my mobile may not work to call home when in the US.
I have a nokia 6301 & I’m a O2 pay-as-you- go customer.
(Obviously I intend to put a decent amount of credit on before we leave).
Can anyone advise?0 -
This literally took me less than a minute to find out:
the nokia 6301 is a tri band phone and therefore will work in the US however you will need to check that you can use your pay as you go sim in the US by contactin O2 directly, however i cant see any reson why it should'nt assuming you have enough credit on your phoneLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0
