central park is also a big must for me, but my OH is insisting we hire bikes, as it is so big. I really do not fancy the bike thing, is it possible to get around and see the main sights, bridges etc, without a bike or horse & cart LOL?
Thanks in advance
The yankee candle store is really reasonable. When i was there, they had 12 tarts or samplers for $10. Not too sure about the jar prices as they would have been too heavy to bring back. They usually have some offers on jars and air fresheners.
The ugg store in W.C. isn't great. I went to the Soho branch where they were so nice and helpful, bent over backwards to make sure i managed to get there and get the boots before catching my flight. $180 plus tax for classic talls.0 -

But it is pretty massive ...
I think we started at the south end and got as far as the Boat House. Not saying we couldn't have got further, but I don't think we got further north than that.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

If you are only mainly going for the yankee candle store i'd say maybe think twice as although there isnt a yankee candle store in the city ( why oh why?:() yankee candle is sold in Hallmark and they are all over the city each with different selections and offers on so you are still able to get yankee candle. Also for $42 is it? return trip to woodbury common its not like you will be saving money on the candles if you concider the price you pay to get there.
I got some Uggs from there in 2008 and selection was fine I got the ones I wanted in my size however again for saving maybe $20-40 dollars your spending that on ticket to get there so would just buy from Bloomingdales or Ugg store in city.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥0 -
Hi everyone. My son and girlfriend are going to New York next month and son is the sort who worries over every little detail. They are staying in Cosmopolitan in Tribeca. Do you think it's safe to use the subway late at night or should they get taxis?0

I have always found the subway and local buses fine for getting about, even at night. Same as being anywhere really, don't flash your cash, don't stand in dark corners and be confident and you will be super fine.0

How long have you got inbetween connections? Amsterdam is a massive airport and depending on where in the airport you are connecting your flight may mean that your bags don't fly with you. A friend did a connecting flight through there, she only just made it to to her connection but her bags didn't.0 -

Why not do a bike tour? http://www.bikeandroll.com/newyork/ tours are normally about 3 hours long and take you to all the interesting spots0 -
