Must admit £390 will buy you a heck of alot of stuff back anyway, it is astonishingly cheap. Make sure you check our DAffys for kids clothes, they tend to have designer stuff at a very good price.0

Maybe Brooklyn Bridge if we can fit it in? Food wise, gotta try a good NY pizzza/hotdog, would like to try a nice steakhouse, american style breakfast (maybe pancakes), possibly a chinese too and CRAB LEGS (love these). Maybe check out some nice cocktail type bars in the evening??
Okay, I will try and group them for you, and you can do the rest.
Bloomingdales/Central Park/Tiffany's/Serendipity 3
Empire State/Macy's/Duane Reed ( although these really are everywhere, you will get bored of seeing them)
Canal St/Ground Zero/Century 21
I have few eating place reccomendations, other than Juniors/ Tick Tock Diner and Ellens Stardust Diner ( overpriced, but has the wow factor)0 -
thanks --Going over for thanksgiving this year . Been a little up the wall this summer(as you can see from the signature)BLEEP KNOWS IT !! but i have been logging in and keeping up to date.
Good memory from the above post with Juniors Opposite the Minskoff Theatre where we watched a very special Lion King performance. The waiter took our 5 starters 5 mains and 5 drinks orders once without a pen and in deep scouse accent (us) without a hitch amazing waiter and very good food for times square area. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -

We have now decided to give woodbury common a miss, and walk around central park. as someone said, it will cost more to get to woodbury, than any savings we will make, as not buying much. uggs are showing as $190 at bloomingdales online, so that's a good price anyway.
I wouldn't count on getting Ugg boots from Bloomingdales. I visited when i was there and was told that the minute they are in stock, they fly out of the door. All they had available were those god awful cardie ugg boots. As i said in a previous post, your best bet would be the official Ugg store in Soho.0 -
Ah lovely!! Well glad to hear you have been having a read thread when you have been able to
I've been very busy myself these past few months so I've been the same.
Regarding uggs I hear people say that alot on threads, I have always managed to get my Uggs infact last time I went the ones I wanted were not even out on display however when I asked the sales assistant she brought them out from the stock room so worth asking if you cant see them. This was the bloomingdales in Soho so check out that bloomingdales if your having trouble. You dont get the discount at this one though but am sure you will just be glad you found them (and so will your feet!)New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

So then we have Saturday late afternoon/evening free, Sunday (plan to go to Woodbury Common), all of Monday and Tuesday Morning (need to leave after lunch)
Thanks in advance
From what i have read, I would forget Woodbury Common especially as you are there for such a short time.
This is very helpful

Hello, can someone have a look over my itinerary and maybe give a bit of feedback please?
Day 1- Sat 9th October. We land at JFK at 13.30 and are staying at the Cosmo in Tribeca. I guess we'll arrive there for about half 3? Want to go over to the Brooklyn bridge and do some photo's, then back and have a look around China town and Little Italy.
Day 2. Sunday 10th. Macys, Grand Centra Station, Rockerfeller Centre ( to buy sunset tickets for monday) Bloomingdales, Central PArk.
Day 3. Monday 11th. This will be Columbus day I believe? Will that have any affect on our plans? Fifth avenue to watch some of the parade, ESB, Rockerfeller Centre for sunset, Times Sq to see it all lit up at night.
Day 4. Tuesday 12th. Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty, Possibly the Tribeca film centre. We have a flight to catch at 18.05 from JFK - I guess we'll need to be back to the hotel for about 3 to get a cab to back to the airport for check-in in time?
Thanks for any feedback.0 -
Can anybody suggest the best time to go to TOTR and Staten Island Ferry? It would be helpful to know what day/time is most/least busy has the shortest/longest queue?
What sort of waiting time have you all experienced?
Thanks0
