I'm going in November and found the hotels to be very expensive.
Managed to get a hotel in Long Island City for £272 for 5 nights, similar hotels in Manhattan were that much per night at that time of year. It's next to metro which takes five minutes to get to Times Square.0 -

This was going to be my next question, lol. Hotel prices! We are now booked for March next year and are going on a cruise from NY. We need to find 3 nights accommodation in NY first.
Anyone know when NY hotel deals will start popping up for 2011? I booked Florida DIY myself this year but booking NY myself is new to me!0 -

You'll probably get something cheap enough if Manhattan in March, if not, worth considering Country Inn and Suites in Long Island City as it's cheap.0 -

Forgot to add, interestingly the boat stops by the pier that titanic was due to dock at.Its in an unchanged state compared to the others, found it rather eery. The guy on board reckons it could potentially be turned into a touristy place.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0 -

For infomation Manhattan isnt very big and the "AREAS" in manhattan thats touristy is about half that easily E.G// A few posts from north of the Scottish Boarders heres a size check from Manhattan i think you can fit the whole of Manhattan into Loch Lomond 4 times and room for a swim:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -

Going back over 10 years ago on one of our early visits to NYC, my wife and I were down at South Street Seaport and watching people sitting waiting to go out on the "Beast" The guy in charge was giving it large about what the beast could do and how frightened all the passengers were going to be on a hand held tanoy thinghy ! Well as he was cast off he hit reverse a bit fast and took out part of the wooden pier/pontoon and also damaging the stern of the boat !!!!!!!
So pregnant or not you won't catch me on the Beast !
