Got the second letter yesterday and was planning of completely ignoring it. I'll post it up over the weekend.
Today I've received an email from one of the directors of Homebase apologising and stating he will get it cancelled !!!!! Pity in a way but I'm going to respond and point out the G24 don't even adhere to BPA guidelines and so Homebase are supporting a very dodgy company. All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -

Argh- I am so glad I found you lot on here. Just received a parking charge notice from G24 Ltd (Wickes Carpark) just got my cheque book out to send a cheque for the reduced fine of £75- they demand £95 if over the 10 days. My cheque book is now put away and nothing sent.
I will file this nicely and quietly away and all the others that I will receive, can keep it company.
Many thanks to people like you for posting this sort of information to help us out- keep it going and spread the word!!!0 -

Can anyone advise? I was totally taken in by this company. I received a demand from them for overstaying on the Grand Junction Retail car park in Crewe. I had thought it was a free park but when I received the letter, knowing I had parked there, I sent a cheque for the reduced charge of £50. None of my friends knew that fines after 3 hours were now in force so I checked on my next visit and lo and behold there was the sign. A few days ago I had another letter saying that as I hadn't paid I now owed £75. I rang their payments section and left an answerphone message saying I had sent a cheque. After, it occurred to me that this could be a scam in that they had got my cheque but were holding out for the full amount. That's how I came to your forum. It's obviously very dodgy from all the posts I have seen. What do you think I should do next? They haven't cashed my cheque as yet.0
