I recently received one of these letters from G24. Does anyone have a standard template letter that I can send to G24 referring to the contract the company have with the driver and not the owner of the vehicle. Many thanks0

I wouldn't bother. The best plan is just to ignore them. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Many thanks CP. I have received three PCN's now and just want to send a reply letter to Mr G24 and refer to the contract with driver and carpark and also advise of harrassment etc. I know its a stamp and a little time wasted but it's something to wave in front of any visitor to the door if they ever do visit when I pick up the phone and call the police if they wont P**s of when I tell them too. What I dont understand is why this has not had better press coverage on the shows such as Watchdog....but they do Wheel Clampers!!!0

I think this is the clip you are referring to.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
My wife has got a stack of them, when she is doing the school run in my car. Even if it went to court very easy defence. At the time in question M'lud I was at X school picking up my daughter, so obviously I could not be in two places at oncePrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0

There have been plenty more guinea pigs before you, and no evidence of G24 ever doing anything more than sending out silly letters.
Here's one of my letterchains off G24 (my scanner is bust at the moment or I'd upload them):
1. "CHARGE CERTIFICATE - Civil Traffic Enforcement Notice"
16 days later
2. "Notice to Owner/Keeper/Hirer/Driver FINAL REMINDER"
25 days later
3. "Formal notice of intended court action" from CCS Collect Debt Collectors (just a trading name of G24)
20 days later
4. "NOTICE OF INTENDED LEGAL ACTION" - no letterhead this time - just an instruction to pay CCS. The layout and design of this one is trying to mimic an official court-type document.
25 days later
5. "72 HOUR NOTICE OF HOME VISIT" from CCS Collect (but what about the legal action you promised me in your last letter?:rotfl: And I thought the letter you sent me 70 days ago was a Final Reminder? Not very final, was it?:rotfl:)
That final letter in that particular letterchain was 8 months ago. Needless to say there was no home visit and no court action, and I've heard nothing further since. Apart from when I purposely overstayed in the same car park again, triggering the same letterchain all over again.
Thanks Taxiphil - really helpful.0 -
Hi,
Fantastic thread !!!! My girlfriend recently got a PCN from G24 when parking at the local Homebase. The car park is shared by the local council swimming pool and she was taking her daughter swimming. Of course she went over the 90 minutes. The restrictions had only come in that week and she didn't notice them as she's been there hundreds of times before. Now got the first demand and of course will ignore this and any others ! I do find it hard to ignore them though as I'm a natural complainer
Instead of taking on G24 I've decided to give Homebase a bit of a kicking
I've been to the store and interrogated the manager who for some reason thought I was a reporter. I've written to the local papers newsdesk as young familys are getting these demands when they've been swimming. I've even written a long and very snotty email to the CEO of The Home Retail Group who own Homebase. For those of you that have also been caught out in Homebase car parks here's his email address :
terry.duddy@homeretailgroup.com
I was also intending of filling a trolley full of goods ( all small goods or plants ) and taking it to the manager and then walking out but it would have meant I'd have lost my pound !
Anyway, keep up the good work, boycott Homebase and I'll post updates when I get the letters from G24.
I have also written to Terry Duddy just now. I think we should boycott firms like Homebase and spread the word, I wonder if Martin will take up this cause, as I see many people can be intimidated into paying these crooks.0 -
