Calculator, isn't that a bit hi-tec for them?

  • Hi folks - me again (I started this thread about a year ago).

I thought they'd finally left me alone. However today there was a message on my phone from a company called 'DLC' asking me to phone them back with a ref number. I have looked up DLC on google - they appear to be 'Direct Legal & Collections', so I'm guessing it is to do with the parking 'fine' from a year ago. Firstly, how did they get our number, we're 'x' directory? Secondly - who are DLC, and should I be worried? I'm guessing they'll be writing to me soon because I'm not going to speak to them on the phone! What should I do.....?

    Thanks.

DLC are a debt collection company, this could just be a phishing call someone in your area with the same name. Wait for any letter and see what they say it is about. I received a letter off them a while back saying I owed First Direct money, I have never dealt with first direct? I never contacted them, I assume they found the correct person!

Even if it is to do with the parking charge, just carry on ignoring. They have no more powers then the originators which is nil!
  • Thought so - good to get reassurance though!

    Thanks.
