I have received my 'notice of intended action' this morning......oh its a lovely yellow and grey number this time. In big bold letters it tells me "documents are now being prepared or the finl recovery of this debt"
but then goes on to say
Apparently they 'may'......."arrange for a local collector to visit you at home to discuss this debt or recommend to our client that action is taken against you through the county court"
So what exactly are these documents you ae preparing if you don't know what you are doing to do yet to get this 'debt' paid I ask myself..........?0 -

Hi,
Fantastic thread !!!! My girlfriend recently got a PCN from G24 when parking at the local Homebase. The car park is shared by the local council swimming pool and she was taking her daughter swimming. Of course she went over the 90 minutes. The restrictions had only come in that week and she didn't notice them as she's been there hundreds of times before. Now got the first demand and of course will ignore this and any others ! I do find it hard to ignore them though as I'm a natural complainer
Instead of taking on G24 I've decided to give Homebase a bit of a kicking
I've been to the store and interrogated the manager who for some reason thought I was a reporter. I've written to the local papers newsdesk as young familys are getting these demands when they've been swimming. I've even written a long and very snotty email to the CEO of The Home Retail Group who own Homebase. For those of you that have also been caught out in Homebase car parks here's his email address :
terry.duddy@homeretailgroup.com
I was also intending of filling a trolley full of goods ( all small goods or plants ) and taking it to the manager and then walking out but it would have meant I'd have lost my pound !
Anyway, keep up the good work, boycott Homebase and I'll post updates when I get the letters from G24.All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
Should have added a couple of extras. I note Lancashire TS state the following :
"After being provided with the DVLA information, the subsequent communication from the Parking Company should :- Point out the contractual nature and justification of the claim and
- ask for confirmation that the keeper was using at the time the unauthorised parking occurred."
The G24 demand doesn't even ask the second bit just says you are the registered owner / keeper / hirer / driver. Oh dear - please take this to court as I'd love to point it out.
I also pointed out the CEO of Home Retail Group that he or G24 could only sue for loses so could he detail what those loses could possibly be. And that the BPA guidelines say the charge should be at a similar level to the local authorities PCN fine - in this case that is £25-£35 so as Homebase are charging £75 it's 3 times the level !!!! BRING IT ON :beer:All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
As the G24 letters are missing from the sticky - here's the first one we got :

Did you get any more letters from them yet?
If you get some press interest do try your utmost to make sure they report that these are NOT fines and that nothing at all happens if you ignore the rubbish threatograms.
No extra letters yet as we've only just recieved the first one but I will certainly post any I get.
In response to the posters that appear a bit worried if letters come recorded delivery - just refuse to sign for it and Royal Mail have to return the letter. That way it's cost G24 ( or any other scummer ) for the failed delivery and if they want to try again unrecorded then it costs them again. All aboard the Gus Bus !0
