That is a first, I have complained about online shops selling fakes and hidden nominet addresses before, and they basically told me to go and complain to the hosting company, things must have changed recently

On a similar note, I have complained to all the site survey sites such as symantic, that certain ppc sites are unsafe to use, so they have been blacklisted - Shame !

In these days of Data Protection and all that. How do they get your datails from DVLA?
I dont think i can just phone them up, DVLA that is, and be given the name and address of some one who may have peed me off one the road.

I, too, have just had the yellow "Notice of Intended Action"...........
from CCSCollect.

Going by all previous advice...I will file it and wait and see what happens next...........

It is all quite threatening and I can see why people pay.....my mother being one (she is in her late 70's and despite my reassuring her, she paid it).

If it wasn't for this forum, I probably would have paid too.
After all I don't want debt collectors on the doorstep when my teenagers are at home, in case my daughters become scared.

Only if you live across the road from their portakabin. They'll be so far away it'll cost them more in petrol than what they think you owe them.

If it's any consolation, I'm ahead of you in the G24 paper trail and I've not heard anything for nearly 4 weeks despite the dire warnings of the last letter from G24 ( sorry CCS Collect - it's so easy to get the two muddled up :rotfl:).

Third letter now recieved in our letter chain. "FINAL NOTICE" looking reasonably professional but stating "you [the RK] were the driver of the vehicle", ummm... no he wasn't!, and that "This Final Notice has been sent to you, as the driver of the vehicle". Don't know who was the driver??? Just make it up... shocking stuff.

"Failure to pay the outstanding amount will result in G24 Ltd forward the outstanding charge to a Debt Recovery Agency." - Great stuff. Lots of helpful info on the back about how to pay too. Including the website payyourcharge.co.uk :rotfl::T Ummm... howaboutno.com

Anyone had phone calls from CCS Collect (or whoever) then????

Summary now stands at:

Day 1 - Allegedly used a car park on private land
Day 8 - Recieved a 'parking chage notice' in the post
Day 26 - Recieved second, fairly non-threatening, letter in the post
Day 53 - Recieved third "FINAL NOTICE" letter in the post.
