As previously posted G24 ( CCS ) have either added an extra letter or changed the Notice of Intended Legal Action letter. Attached is the latest version - still to be ignored of course.

I think it's the letter for stage 3 in post #169 but it's my fourth letter. All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
I like the bit about arranging "for a local collector to visit you at home and discuss this debt without further warning". I'm sure that's highly illegal as they have to give something like 72 hours notice. Even if they did turn up they can easily be sent away with a suitable epithet (ending with "off") ringing in their ears. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Woo hoo! I got my 'Final Notice' (i.e. the third in the known series of threat-o-grams) today. Lovely. Can't wait for more. Off-topic, the god otherwise known as Martin Lewis and you lovely forum members have saved me around £20 a month - and that's not going anywhere near the big stuff like mortgage and insurance. I was reading the pet forum and discovered a pet supplies place near me (Surrey Pet Supplies) that sells Hills Science Diet Feline CD (for my old cat with chronic bladder probs) for loads less than getting it from the vet, for instance 72 cans from vet was c£80 - from new place is c£60.__________________________________
Did I mention that Martin Lewis is a god?0 -
Glad the old G24 thread is still alive and kicking. We recieved a second letter in the post today. Nothing fancy just a plain letter stating it's no longer possible to pay the reduced amount, and a final notice will be sent within a further 28 days.
Highlight is definitely the final paragraph which just trails off mid-sentence and doesn't finish. For the amount of money they want, they could at least have the courtesy to write grammatically accurate threat-o-grams.
So we're currently standing at:
Day 1 - Allegedly used a car park on private land
Day 8 - Recieved a 'parking chage notice' in the post
Day 26 - Recieved second, fairly non-threatening, letter in the post

Another letter in the post today - at least it keeps Royal Mail from going under !!!!
I've now got the "Notice of Intended Action". Note that it is subtly different from the example posted at the top of this forum. They have dropped the word Legal !!!! :rotfl:
They have also dropped the threats about CCJs etc from the bottom of the letter. Apparently there are now three outcomes :
1. I pay them - no chance
2. They arrange for someone to come to my house to "discuss" the "debt" - hmmmm, OK let's see you try !
3. They "recommend" to their client that they take legal action against me - ohhhh scary
I'm guessing that may well be the last I here of them ?
And just as I thought G24 no longer cared I get another begging letter. I think they may have confused their little brains thinking that I somehow care :rotfl:!
They've also changed the order of the letters from that in the "What to Expect" thread. I now have what is the third letter according to the thread but is actually my fifth.
So to re-cap, my last letter was a warning that I should pay as "documents were being prepared for the final recovery of this debt" - little did I realise that the scary document they were talking about was ..... another final demand letter
I've also not seen the lovely person calling at my door to discuss this debt nor any court papers. It makes me sad, it really does, when a company promises you something and they don't deliver. What is this country coming to, what about customer service and my rights to get what you've promised !!!!
*** in the accent of the Daz adverts ***
" Will this be the last I hear of CCS Collect or G24, will the debt advisor dare call and will G24 really have the guts to issue real court papers ....... to be continued ( possibly ) "All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -

They can't even press the right buttons now! Could be a new office girl.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

Any side effects, could do with some of those myself.:D0 -
No update as of yet ( maybe they've given up ! ) but I thought I would do some investigation into G24 as I had a bit of time on my hands. Well it would seem they have broken the T&C's of their Nominet contract. For those not in the know, when you buy an internet domain name you have to give a valid postal address which is then made publicly available. If you are an individual then you can opt out of this condition but not if you are a company. Well it seems G24 have registered a non-existent postal address !!!!! How naughty ! Maybe they should be sent a fine ( sorry unenforceable invoice ! ) ..... well I've reported them to Nominet ( who police the domain names in this country ).
It won't cost them very much but it will at least cause them some hassle :rotfl:
G24 - I'm on your case and the next authorities I'm speaking to are ....... ????? Well we need to keep you thieves on your toesAll aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
Nominet will do nothing, they are completely useless and will refer you to the hosting company, and if you complain to them, most will just fob you off.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
About as useless as G24 themselves then!0
