Thanks for the tip about sewing them in again - never thought of that.So little money - so much time :mad:0

My sister bought an indelible stamper with her son's name on it about 10 years ago. It has been brilliant - because it's so easy and you can do the bottom of socks etc with no fiddly sewing. I will try and find out the name of it.0

I do that too....I bought them when my daughter was starting school 7 years ago.....and because at the time there was a good offer if you bought 2 sets, I ordered them for my son too.....he was about 7 WEEKS old at the time! (and yes I found them in time for him starting school :P)0 -
My best friend has both sons with the same initial so she just ordered a set with first initial and surname... She didn't even need to change the name tapes when she passed the uniform down to the younger one!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Initials?
As long as your surname isn't Smith, why not just have your surname printed? Although by the time DC3 goes to school I may need to replace the uniform. I'm considering having the next set printed with my email address, which includes our surname. Then someone can email me when their t-shirts, and favourite toys go missing
. Now, if they could include a tracking device too... 0 -
Half the parents I've come across just write the name in biro on the labels of things like sweatshirts etc! One neat trick I did see from an enterprising mum to help her kid get his shoes on the right feet after PE and the like was to draw arrows on the inside soles of his feet facing inward so he knew to line his shoes up so the arrows met -> <- and got them on the right feet. Hadn't seen that one before but it was deadly effective.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Does anyone think the packs are good value for money ?So little money - so much time :mad:0

I know when my DD first started i got a pack of iron on name labels as you want everything just *so* on that first uniform...
but i believe they are still in the drawer and for the 5 years she has been at school we have written her name and class on everything on the spaces provided on the labels with a biro... effective and cheap
she has never lost a thing0 -
May I just thank you very sincerely for actually naming your child's things?!
As a teacher, I spend at least 15 minutes a day after school roaming the corridors looking for (or holding) un-named uniform! :rotfl:
The amount our school sends to charity at the end of the year is phenomenal. Not very mse is it!0
