When my son started nursery last year I paid around £5 for 72 labels.
I used "able-label", I can't drop my hands on the site, but know I ordered online, they always advertise in the leaflets that fall out of magazines!
found it!: http://www.shopcreator.com/mall/productpage.cfm?store=AbleLabels&productid=NT&did=21844 it states £3.95 for 72 and £1.50 p&p0 -
I ordered some from ebay a couple of weeks ago - they came in about 2 days

Our son is staring nuresey next week and we need to label his clothes with his name. Can you still get labels that you can iron on to clothes? Are they any good or do they come off too easily? Can anyone recommend the best place and price to get these labels from?I can offer no resistance, I can offer no respite

As someone who used to work in a laundry at a school, i can recommend that you buy the pre-printed, sew in labels. The iron on ones dont last very long with all the washing they would get!0

Minilabels http://www.minilabels.co.uk/
They do a large range of sew in stick on labels for colothes/shoes/bags etc etc.
I think last time I ordered from them they gave me a 10% discount on future orders.0 -

These have the name woven into then and you then stitch them on with a couple of stitches. They's Brownie Proof

If you don't like sewing I'd recommend Taggits. They fix in with little plastic clips and at the moment seem pretty indestructable. You should be able to find them if you Google, as several sites sell them.0
