Don't be bloody ungrateful!
Of course it would be nice if everyone liked the same, but just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean everyone else didn't either.
I thought the whole point about weddings was to share in a very special day with the bride and groom ~ not to b!tch about the quality of the food.
Honestly.
the food was crap and i am only putting it on here cos people are talking about weddings. You shouldnt have to eat on the way home from a recption. I did say that was all they could afford i guess.
Point was food makes a do whether its sit down or buffet. Oh used to go to a champagne party night once a year when he was on stage and the food was to die for everyone looked forward to it. It was only a buffet but good stuff it leaves an impression when its good.:footie:0 -

I love my daughter unconditionally and did from the moment she was handed to me covered in gunge and blood, but I believe that people have to earn "like" - it's not the same thing as love. She's a sweet, gentle and lovely little person and I really do like her. Even when she's loud.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

God if I received an invite with that written on it, then these people would no longer be my friends.
I would send a refusal back with an equally rude comment!
And I certainly wouldn't send them a gift either.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -

I went to an evening reception at a big posh place where the bride was a bridezilla type, no expense spared on the dress, the cars, the cake, the meal.
Shame the evening reception was ruined by no buffet at all! Not a sausage lol
The worst bit was, when you went up to the bar for drinks they had a menu for the guests on the bar for snacks you could order and eat in the other bar.
That is the only party/wedding I've ever been to that had no food and now when anybody talks about it thats all they remember!0 -
I think maybe they were trying to be tongue in cheek about the kids but unfortuantely it just came out as insulting and condesending.
I personally would be really offended by it and would not attend :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

That's a real shame ellieo.
Did you discuss it with him? It may be that all the invites said that, but perhaps it was not applicable to family members.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

that was over 13 years ago now, i think they now see things in a different light as they have their own child!!0 -
I can understand people being offended by the way this particular couple worded their request for no children but not at a normal polite notification that they won't be inviting children.
The biggest day of their lives and should be all about them and some people get uppity because they have decided, usually because they don't want to treat any guest differently to another, that they won't be having children at the do. I would be so upset if someone refused to come on that basis. I really would.0
