I have been with AOL for about 4 years and I havent had any major problems. I have just rang them as I was paying 19.99 a month for Gold but wanted to change it for the 14.99 a months offer. They have let me change to Silver and 14.99 a month but made me start a new contract for 12 months. I said I objected to that as I had been with them for years but she said everytime you change youprice plan you have to start a new contract.
Is that right or is there away around it ?
She said I have a 7day cooling off period in which I can get in touch with her if I wanted. I havn't really planned to change unless Talk Talk sorted itself out and I could get the 21 deal for Broadband and free phone calls."The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
AOL is offering their silver broadband package at £9.99 per month. Offer is open until 6th August. I know many people dislike aol, but thought someone might want to upograde from dial up as it is cheaper.0

Where are the details about this please? Can't see anything on their website. Thanks0 -
I have just phoned up and asked for MAC number as I was considering moving to another broadband provider. I am now outwith the 12 month contract period with AOL and paying £24.99 month.
Result - getting the same service now for £9.99 month, but being tied into another 12 month contract. Am quite happy with AOL, was the cost that was bugging me, so another 12 months at that price am quite happy with. :j0 -

Thanks, I signed up on silver package £9.99 month. No problem just waiting for my line to be cleared.
I advised someone on gold package to phone and get their package reduce they offered £19.99 and for silver £9.99.
Thanks for your help I will let them know.

I have just emailed the AOL person who changed my package the other day asking them to make me their best offer as I am no longer satisfied with paying 14.99 a month when others are paying 9.99. I also asked for my MAC number and told them I would move if I wasnt satified.
No waiting to see if they reply to my emailPrudent wrote:AOL is offering their silver broadband package at £9.99 per month. Offer is open until 6th August. I know many people dislike aol, but thought someone might want to upograde from dial up as it is cheaper.
