Anyone used RPC Recycle?

They quoted £122 for an Iphone 4. It looked perfect to my eyes.
They said it was scratched and had white spots on the screen. So they offered my £30 quid instead. :rotfl:
So I have wasted £10 sending the thing to them.
I am beginning to understand the business model of a lot of these companies.
1.Offer a high price (above everyone else).
2.find loads of problems and offer a tiny amount
3.Sell on at much higher price
4.Profit.!!

These people in my opinion are rip offs! I sent a brand new Blackberry Z10 i'd used for about 2 weeks but really couldn't get on with! It was NOT scratched in anyway and even had a protective case on all the bits were sent with the phone and I was quoted £230.00. When they received it they said they had to decline their offer as the screen was scratched in several places.... this phone was NOT at all marked in anyway and they reduced the offer to £160.00 i was very annoyed and said i would have the phone back as it was not the case. They then came back with a higher offer of £180 luckily for them i was fed up with the whole trying to sell my mobile saga (hence i'd resorted to using a site like RPM) that i gave in and sold it but i would warn anyone using them of my experience and would never use or recommend them to anyone!0

this has got to be one of the worst recycling places for your phone ever i usually use mazuma never had a problem with them they give you a price and thats it dosent matter too much about the outside condition of your phone as long as it isnt ridiculously bad this place any spot blemish speck of dust and they take money off you and then have the cheek to charge you to get your phone back!!!so by the time you have done that you have lost money and that is what they rely on the fact that if you dont take there price you lose out and most people cant be bothered to do that any way rant over this place is RUBBISH i suggset recycling with MAZUMA fair price and havent had a problem with them in all my years of recycling.0

I sent them 2 phones a samsung that was only taken out box and used once and also a blackberry that was immaculate. They claimed on receipt of phones that they were both faulty even thou they were in perfect working order when I sent away, I also added extra packing to the Jiffy bag they sent. I only got about half of what should have got for them.i wished I had seen reviews before I sent them away. When phoned to say l was told was they couldn't tell me what was wrong with them as they weren't in technical department, and would cost me money per phone to get them back. I was totally ripped off and as far can see most others have been too. Do not recommend at all!!!0

Despicable, knocked £50 off the quote for minor marks.
Avoid. :mad:0 -
I sent of my iphone 4s to RPC recycle as they offered a generous amount, and they recommened i pay for special delivery at £6.95 - which i did. I then receive an email 2 days later saying they are offering less than half as it has light scratching on the back (which was actually a clear case for the phone to protect it) also they say it was jailbroke which it was not! They then proceeded to charge me £3 to get my phone back if i did not accept their new offer. Pure evil!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0

I selected this company to recycle my iphone 4s as they quoted the best rate - £210. I Paid £7 to send the phone to them and also sent the cover as I thought this would give extra protection.
When they received it they offered me £150 and cited excessive wear and tear from their Ts & Cs as the reason. If you look at the T&Cs, things listed under this section include major damage like missing buttons and camera not working. My phone was in full working order but they said it was scratched.
I told them to return it which they did minus the cover (for a further £3)! I could see no scratches on it whatsoever. I have since sold it on Gumtree for £200 to a man who inspected it thoroughly and said it was in great condition.
RPC clearly use this 'excessive wear and tear' clause as a get-out and never intend to pay the figure they originally quote.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!0 -
Checked online for the best price for my iphone 4 16GB and this company came back with the highest quote. Had to pay to send the phone which I thought was a bit cheeky but thought, if I get the amount they said then fair dos.
They quoted me £133 pounds for the phone, I sent it recorded delivery and got an e-mail saying as there were scratches on the phone they were reducing the price to £68. Now I admit there were very minor scratches on the screen and case, none more than a couple of mm long and very light (I've used the phone for over 2 years!) but reducing it to that price is just ridiculous and a complete rip off.
Had to pay another £3 to get my phone back, which did arrive very promptly, but overall an absolute rip off!
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!
I am now trying fonebank with the same phone, got some good reviews so will keep you posted!0 -
Avoid !!!
Offered £202 for iphone 4S. Then offered £141 due to scratchs on back (Although phone never out of protective cover). Paid £3 to get phone returned. 6 days later still no phone back.0 -
I use rpc recycle for my Samsung Galaxy S2. It offered the third highest amount of money but the others had poor feedback. My Samsung galaxy had a few wee marks on the screen but was in otherwise good condition but I still received the full amount and in good time

Would definitely recommend them!0
