Definitely not true regarding minimum spend. I'm getting my boiler at cost which is less than £400, total for boiler & installation is £1600 and I've got my voucher.

Did it suddenly appear in the post or did they contact you about the application first?
  • Just appeared in the post. They told me that there was no way of letting me know if my application had been successful. Depends who you speak to (if you can actually speak to anyone at all). Had all sorts of problems with my application like many others on here.

I applied on the 8th Jan, received an email two days ago to say i would receive voucher within 10 days, came home to a letter yesterday asking me to complete my application online, and have now received my voucher today! It seems very disorganised so i have to say i'm now rather relieved to have received it!
  • They are all over the place. I left a message once and had two people call me back on the same day, both giving different versions of what to do etc...The 0800 number is a waste of time, if it helps anyone then try this number 01159 597706. You have to leave your details but they call you back within 1 working day.

...Presumably the invoice will have a date and if the installer lies he or she will be involved in fraud.

Sorry checked you do have the right to claim as a private landlord but not if the work is done beore the voucher is recieved.

Thanks shirlgirl. A friend who has his own business is putting in the boiler. As he trusts us he could easily invoice us when/if the voucher arrives. Do you know of any other reason why he can't start the work?

I heard today that way over the 125,000 have applied. :(

I applied on 10th Jan. I have 3 separate emails telling me I will get a voucher.
