I applied online Thursday night, my voucher was dated Friday and I received it this morning! :rotfl:
congrats shirlgirl! Wasn't it today your engineer was coming? So you're just right!:j
...now let's hope they keep their word and we don't discover small print in invisible ink!0 -
Yes the plumber is still here. It won't be working tonight so they're back in the morning. We needed new trvs and we have 15 radiators to change the trvs on and 2 new radiators. Chilly tonight but worth it in the end.I applied online Thursday night, my voucher was dated Friday and I received it this morning! :rotfl:

Can't believe you got yours so quick.0 -
My G rated boiler completely broke down in October. Apparently it has to be a working boiler to be valid.
Too early for the scheme and too early for the freezing winter. Talk about bad timing0 -
I can't find the efficiency rating for my Vokera Maxin 24e. Does anyone know where I could find it? I've tried the government and sebdac lists - it isn't on them.
I can't find yours. I've been searching for my son only all he has is a water heater so I don't think that qualifies! I can't link you but maybe you could work out where I mean!

I can only find one Maxin that qualifies and it is a 24 CF.
The GC number is 47 09 4250 -
Took a week between me applying to recieveing the voucher.
few tips if anyones interested- i'm a spark not a gas fitter but im always dealing with boilers & CH at work
1/ dont get the work done until you get the voucher or it becomes invalid.
2/ dont buy a cheap boiler, check trade forums reg. good manufacturers (as with everything cheap ain't always best) i'm constantly called out to look at modern boilers by big name manufacturers that have packed in due to cheap parts -PCBs, which cost a small fortune to replace.
3/ changing from a system to a combi is not always the best option, they all have pros and cons .Do research to decided what best suits your home situation.
4/ make sure your boiler is controlled via a room stat and programmer/time
switch to maximise efficiency
5/Ask yourself, Do you need a new boiler or are you just seduced by the £400 voucher?
if youve got an old one that never gives you grief why bother
i'm only changing mine cause i'm doing up the kitchen and I want to relocate the old one (which works fine)and get a smaller one that i can hide in the units.0 -
Just noticed that my £400 has been paid into my bank account. All done and dusted and I am very happy with the new Vaillant boiler ;p0
