Boiler Scrappage

Has anyone else applied under the scrappage scheme? I emailed from the EST website on the 8th and haven't had a reply or acknowledgement. I don't know whether to chase them or not. I'd like the voucher asap. Although I realise they aren't sending vouchers out until the 18th I don't want to wait until then to find they didn't get my email for some reason.

I have asked around and havent found anyone with a boiler that is "bad" enough to be part of the deal.
Even my stinky old smokebox of a boiler is only F rated.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
My Cousin had her boiler serviced just before christmas and was told by the BG guy that it's a shame there's no scrappage scheme yet cos her boiler is the ideal candidate.
Got them back out to ask about the scrappage scheme and they said it is not old or inefficient enough! Think they are making this up as they go along.0 -
Ours is 31 years old and has a permanent pilot light and stands about 3 ft high so if ours doesn't qualify then you won't find one that does. My problem is that the work is booked in to be done as part of a programme of work already underway so we can't postpone it. I need the voucher asap because the boiler is due to be connected next week.0

Have you had a survey done on the scrappage scheme? Have you filled in the relevant forms? If you have the new boiler fitted before you get the voucher you will not get the money. Suggest you follow the info on the EST site to the letter.0

The official start of the scrappage scheme is next Monday but if you have already registered and are accepted, the voucher will be sent to you at a later date. Send the voucher back with your invoice and the £400 will be credited back to you.
Your boiler fitter will not accept the voucher as part payment.0 -
i filled in my form last week and have just had a reply , i would imagine they're (excuse the pun ) "snowed" under0

I filled in the form on Friday night, and have not yet had a reply. Boiler is about 25 years old - ancient back boiler. Still works well though.
I haven't had an acknowledgement yet either.0 -

Do you work for them? Just wondering how you had all this info - do you know if they are acknowledging emails or not?
Its a bit disconcerting to send emails to EST that just seem to go into a black hole.0 -
No thank God I do not work for them. I do however have several clients all wanting £400 via the scheme. How have you sent your installers survey? Did you use an attachment? I know they are running at full to cope with the demand.0
