At least I'm free from him. That's what matters to me right now.

Please don't give up!! Switch your mobile off if you have to (or possibly get a new number?) so he can't get in touch. Also if he comes into your place of work, surely management can have him removed? Tell your parents if they see him just to ignore him! It's rightfully your money, so don't let the scumbag grind you down!

Razor - it's your decision. Do whatever will bring you the greatest peace over it.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Sorry to hear he's ground you down, although it's understandable :(

I hate the thought of him 'winning'! If I were you I would take change my number and take the phone to the police - with messages like that I'm sure they'd have little problem getting some kind of order to keep him and his revolting family away from your workplace.

I had something similar happen to me in a relationship years ago - when we broke up it took me ages to get his share of the bills (all in my name ), and I never got all of it. I was engaged and I often thank my lucky stars I never married him. You have had a lucky escape - imagine if you had got married and had this cretin for a husband and his mum for a mother-in-law. If you think he's being a sod now, imagine how horrendous a divorce could have turned out!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Thank you for your support guys :)

I'm not at work this week but he doesn't know that. Work said that they will just say I'm at another branch or something. I'm not sure if he has been into my place of work. I'll find out on Monday. I just hope he doesn't come round my house.

Yes thank God we never got married. I guess I was lucky in that respect.

I know that the money is rightfully mine but the hassle it's caused just makes it not worth it. I can't cope with his abuse. I've hopefully got rid of him for good now.

I've learned a huge lesson if nothing else.

Sweetie if nothing else then PLEASE do not put anything in writing to him or his folks about not wanting the money back!!! PLease? Should you feel stronger later on and want to take the battle on then save the messages and e-mails and a log of his harassment and when you have the strength deal with it...
If you give him in writing that he no longer has to return the pc/ owes you the money then I don't think you will have any comeback when in a years time you feel stronger and able to deal with his unacceptable behaviour!
I'm sorry it's got this far and you're feeling so down over it... Please take some comfort in knowing it WILL get easier! He hasn't won hun, you've merely called a time out on it till you can get your breath back and deal with it :)

Stay strong and if you need someone to talk to then please PM me :) If I don't have a good answer then I know the numbers for people who do... Next door is a police officer and has access to all the numbers for any counselling service you could desire xxx

i'm so sorry - you sound like you're having a nightmare time - have some MSE hugs! :grouphug:
you're now rid of a cheating ex, who was truely out of order to you about the PC, so even if you have to pay for it, you're much better off without him.
while i still vote for the brick idea (;)) i completely understand if it's all too much. just remember that through this site you're never on your own!
