  • You really don't want the pc back though do you? It could be a tampered machine that you get back. i would stand firm for the money. The £600 rent is a crock.. I don't think £30 a week is bad for rent as you were probably sharing a room and he got the benefit (tried to make that sound as nice as poss!). at that time you were effectively part of the family.
You have proof of the contract and the dd, they have nothing except threats and hoping you're back down. If you do not end up any better off, thank goodness you're not linked with them any more. Good luck!
If you get threats and visits to your work, throw a restarining order into the mix!!
  • sorry - just seen the bit about you sharing the room.

Keep all of those texts - show them to the police/court when you get a date to show what an unreasonable person he is.

Nicest way I could put that!

I was just about to write the same as halloween queen. It might be better to get the money rather than the PC - he could have filled it with viruses, and, if he is being particularly nasty, taken a screwdriver tothe insides (or something similar)

Keep at him for the money. We're all here for you.

Ah but if he does that I think it becomes criminal damage :)

Razor hun don't feel sorry for me - what doesn't kill us makes us stronger :) I was a timid little mouse who wouldn't say boo to a chicken let alone a goose ;) Now I run a technical support team with 20 engineers and I drive the car I want and I'm getting towards my DFD. Life is good and I don't think I would have gotten this strong if it hadn't been for Big Chief Talking B*ll*cks (as he's generally known by his former friends).
Stick to your guns and get the money he owes you - that will help your financial situation. If you get the computer back then it'll be a moral victory as he'll have to go out and spend the money to replace it and it will cost him.
KEEP all the messages and any other evidence... if he visits the office again then if you can try to get someone to video it on their mobile ;) Well I don't see why this latest pest can't be used for something positive instead of filming "happy slapping"! :)

    Chin up!

He's happy the relationship ended though. It's not like I left him and he hates me for it. He chose to end it by seeing some other girl.

I'm trying my best to remain strong.

No I don't really want the PC back I'd rather the money but if he really cannot afford to pay the balance for whatever reason I'd rather have the PC than nothing at all. It's highly unlikely that he would just return the PC to me because he says he needs it.

I've kept all the text messages that he has sent to me since he received the claim form.

I'm such a shy and quiet person so for me to have kept to my word and actually started a claim is a fairly big thing for me. Usually I would have backed down and he would have walked all over me. If your situation has made you stronger tine I hope mine makes does the same to me.

Thank you for all your support. You guys are so supportive. THANK YOU.

    Jo.

Be careful - you don't want to get a PC back that's had kiddy !!!!!! loaded on it out of spite. Happened to a friend of mine.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Get a tape, and video Judge Judy on ITV2, I love watching that she tells it how it is and deals with these types of cases! Ram if full of the cases she tries and send it to him. I do believe that you have a very strong case so good luck and don't back down.

It was a childhood friend in smalltown America, who was jealous of his happiness, happened to be related to the local judge and had the police in his pocket. My friend got a year in jail :(
