Still no luck with "free HD Sub" have rang twice and can only get free box & install.
I am still being asked to pay £10.00 per month HD sub.
Chap said it is because I am not on top package.0 -
You dont have to be on the top package as I only have the basic channel package and have got free HD box, free install and free 12 months subs!0
-
Just to say thanks to the ppl on here.. just had box installed, all up and running nicely, very impressed0

Thought I had it as she put me on hold to talk to team leader, but no can do (free subs) even though I said I wanted to add movies to have full package, have to wait for a phone call. BOO! Will try again!0

Tried twice today, once this morning and again this afternoon.
First time used a 'you spoke with my Wife last week' and she forgot to tell me etc, got offered Free Sky HD box but had to pay the courier charge (£30) and the £10 per month subscription fee. I declined this.
In the afternoon used a different number, used the same 'story' but was told I'd have to wait for another call from Sky to accept the offer and that she couldn't do anything for me.
Both Operators very polite and helpful, but I got the sense that they knew I was trying it on!0 -
Good grief, they really want to milk existing customers for everything! Had a call, went through several options, but they won't budge on the £60 install!
Said I'd be willing to pay £30 install and £10 sub, since I'm on Max and talk - but no...
Reduced package from world and movies and sport to 1 mix for a bit while i see what i can do. But no budge there either.
They did say you can get 30 quid install on the website - but nope, that's not there anymore when I went to look there
DOn't think I should get something for nothing, but 5 years worth of subs surely has to be okay for a discount on the install...---reech!

my mum has a sky digital box but would like a sky+ box as her digital box is "on the way out".
she rang sky as she`d had a leaflet saying that you did`nt need a hd ready tv as the hd boxes could be used to receive standard definition programmes until she got a hd tv.
she rang sky but they would`nt even consider any offers unless she changed to their full package, multi room, sky talk & broadband. she explained she was 67 & a widow, did`nt have a computer (she gets me to do the online stuff for her), did`nt need multi room, would`nt use all the channels included in the full package & was quite happy with the phone package she had but they said that was the only offer available & got quite pushy in trying to persuade her to accept the "offer" they` described.
she`s been with sky for over 10 years & tried the "i`ll leave" trick but the bloke she spoke to her told her to "go then"! she does`nt want to go & buy a hd ready tv unless she already has a guarenteed hd box as being on a pension she has to consider every penny.
any idea`s on what she could say to them to get a decent offer on a box & installation?
thank you all in advanceHelen0 -
my hubby just rang saying my wife had a call yesterday, they put him on hold and said someone would ring him back, also saying no problem getting the deal? so not sure anyone else had the same?0
-
Think they have clocked on, looks like most people are getting rejected for the deal now.0
