Do people think they would talk to me if I told them I was talking on behalf of my parents? Or would it be better to pretend Im my father?

Wow what the heck are you getting for that much? Whats the break down on your bill cause I couldn't imagine having all of sky's services would come anywhere near that ??!!

As long as if you know the password on the account, you should be fine but just have your dad to hand incase they want him to confirm they're okay talking to you and then just get him to say he wants you to deal with it, thats all we do for my gf's account.

Just asked my parents for the password, and they dont remember! They havent been in contact with Sky for years and years, so they cant even remember making a password with them, let alone remembering it. Does every account have a password?

Not always but if there isn't a password, they'll def need to speak to the account holder.

Serioulsy though, as long as if your parents say they're happy with sky talking to you, there won't be a problem !!
  • just called 0800 number and was told offer ended on 21st march and they wouldn't honour it if i hadn't received phone call before then. I told her phone call was on 26th as i didn't realise.
phoned back again and spoke to someone else and they said the offer for 12 months free for a year was only if you knew someone who worked for sky and was given a offer code which I obviously don't have.

Got my box fitted at 830 this morning. Got the Samsung box. Guy said he had a box for each customer so no picking and chossing. Not complaining as looks a good box.

One concern we realised when the guy left was that he didn't conenct the box to the telephone.

Is this just connected to monitor usage, and so available to buy services through the box or do sky run updates to the box?

In the contract it says it has to be connected for 12 months. If Sky contact me I will just say the chap forgot.

Did see something on web that Sky just monitor if you have the multiroom option.
