good old Lloyds, as efficient as ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

    an update

my large LPI complaint is with the FOS approx £6k will be 8k when finished

my 2 small old polices are with Lloyds super efficient complanits handling departments. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

the complaint for the 2 small ones was sent on 21st April this year, i have had a response on one of them with a puny goodwill offer, so have provided further information to back up my complaint (see this thread)

the other small LPI policy appears to have been overlooked by Lloyds and not looked into, this was detailed within the same letter as my other small policy above.

Just goes to show, they can't even read a letter properly, it clearly lists the 2 loan numbers and refers to 2 LPI policies.

i have e-mailed them today asking why they have not investigated one of my complaints,

after then calling them they have confirmed they started to look into this second small loan only yesterday (following my request that they properly investigate my complaint following their puny offer).

yet another example of their incompetence.

a prime example for everyone having trouble with Lloyds. Keep at them and make sure they investigate your complaints properly.

just not reading your complaint and actioning properly is not good enough for one of our largest financial institutions.

the good news is that if they give a final response and you are able to supply further evidence to back up your complaint they will re-look at it.

Does this PPI re-claiming actually work then? I am reading through these posts and i remembered i had a loan with Lloyds TSB some years ago cant be sure when exactly and was wondering if there was any point in contacting them to see if they still hold details of this because i'm nearly sure i had PPI on that loan. I know companies dont hold details of things past 6 years so, can anybody tell me if i would be wasting my time with this one?

Also, is there any repercussions with trying to upset companies like Lloyds TSB? What i mean is, because i 'm going to give it a go trying to get some money back, because you still bank with them can they try and get their money back another way?
I currently have a joint, current, savings and credit card with them and am constantly overdrawn (trying to get out of it), savings (none) credit card(over £1K on it).....so i owe them money now so could they say 'well your finances are not good at the moment with us'..........or something similar???

And lastly if i was covered by another policy such as an insurance covering my mortgage payments(i need to read this further) covering for critical illness, death, unemployment etc., would i be covered through that to pay credit cards/loans?

Sorry for sounding so thick but its not as straight forward as it seems to me!!!

    yes it does work.

i have 3 complaints regarding lloyds loan ppi policies.

lloyds have upheld 2 and one is witht he fos,

of the 2 that have been upheld i will receive approx £3.5k on the 21st of this month as a refund.

these 2 lpi policies date back to loans taken out in 2001 and 2002 and settled early.

the easyest way to get hold of the loan information dating this far back is to request a SAR from Lloyds, it will cost you £10, for this they will give you every peice of data they hold on you, the information they sent me dates back as far as 1996 so they may still hold your loan information.

there is a template letter on the following link,

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553

this needs to go to the lloyds DSAR team in Andover

    LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC
    DSAR TEAM
    CUSTOMER SERVICES
    RECOVERY TEAM
    CHARLTON PLACE C57
    ANDOVER
    HAMPSHIRE
    SP10 1RE

if Lloyds still have information on you you can get it this way.

good luck and let us know how you get on

  • i think i will remind them too once i get confirmation from them

sent the reminder this morning as payment due on 21st,
got a reply stating it they will pass my e-mail on to the person dealing with refund and mentioned it may take a little longer but i will get confirmation later.

never mind, i was kinda expecting this.

when they said 21st June for payment it was 21 days, but i was expecting 21 working days which would be 28th June, so not too dissapointed yet.

but Lloyds seem to be up to their usual tricks.

    Andy

I worked out mine wrong, they received the acceptance slip on the 20 May, it was signed by them as delivered and when I emailed they told me 21 working days from on the day of them receiving the acceptance slip, so I worked this out as yesterday's date....., why I thought it was the 21 June I do not know, but have just chased up by copying the email to CEO.

    LOL good idea:D

Well I emailed them twice last Friday as I realised they should have paid it into the account by last Thursday and not today......, they have not yet got back, so keeping a check on the emails, if nothing this afternoon I will be chasing again, but words will be harsher.

Checked my account as well, just in case but nothing from them up to now!!
Good luck with yours too X

LOL, they just emailed back now just after me posting the above post.......:D here...

Thank you for your e-mail sent on the 18th June 2010.

A letter was sent to you on the 17th June 2010 in relation to your refund which confirmed the amounts that you are due to receive and also the approximate timescales expected to receive the payment.

    Kind regards,

    Lloyds TSB Customer Care.
