Nothing funnier than watching the assistant walk up the aisle with the reduction gun, with a trail of shoppers in tow. Like watching a duck leading her ducklings to the pond.

Personally I would let this go, cant blame staff getting a deal they out up with enough rubbish from abusive customers not that I am saying Op is by any means
  • I've entered and read this thread in utter amazement.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

We've got an OP distressed over probably a £1 off some cakes complaining to Head Office and then a mini-forum slanging match following it.

I think it's very bitter and almost jobsworthy-esque to complain to Head Office, I can;t say I'd ever take such a complaint seriously, they'll probably give you something just to shut you up.

I mean, what is it coming to when someone is so het up over some cakes that Head Office complaints are made?!

Part of me wants to grab the OP and scream get a life!

Did you actually see the CA head off into the back of the store it did they disappear out of view, Many stores has a clearance separate clearance section the CA may well have been taken them to said separate place for clearance goods.
  • I've worked in a couple of supermarkets where, on quiet days, the fun thing for some of the staff to do was take a ticket gun to an empty aisle create a few blank tickets, disappear around the corner and then hold bets on how many vultures- uhm... I mean customers would suddenly appear (alerted by the noise of the ticket gun) and search desperatley for the reductions.

So what you're implying is that it's somehow 'wrong' for shoppers to seek out discounted items? This is a forum on a money-saving site isn't it???

i dont think they mean it like that.

there are some people that seem to think that it is their right to block off the discount shelf until they have got all that they want from it. even if its a trolley full. god forbid anyone else sves 20p on something

If anyone thinks Morrisons will not care about Tribulations complaint, read this thread
    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/employment-problems/221580-hubby-suspended-theft.html.

Supermarkets do care, and certainly read forums such as this.

    Tribulation.

You seem like a nice fella,ok some on here my have been a wee bit harsh in there replies to you, including myself..! but you must not take it to heart.

The fact is here that i think that this thread has taken this route because and only because it happened to be a knckdown box of cakes that you felt the need to write off to Morrisons to complain about, had it have been an article of higher value a Plasma tv,or laptop for eg: you would have the agreement of everybody,i know that sounds hypocritical an maybe it is but the fact is that it was a box of cakes makes it almost laughable.Fair go you have the argument that just because its a low value item makes no difference and it shouldnt.

There is no need to leave a site because you are agrieved and you are as some people have said a valuable contributer,so sit back ahve a cup of tea and a cake...;) and lets just let this thread die off.

I apologise if my words sounded harsh.
