Then the employee should have politely explained it to the customer. If the incident happened as Tribulation says, then the employee acted unprofessionaly. And it wasn't for the OP to communicate with her, the employee should have communicated her actions to the OP.

As the employee is not a mind reader, then should the customer not have opened her mouth and asked, simple as that she could have even saved herself the cost of a stamp Now their's a big saving.
It may have been damaged as you do get kids that push in the boxes and damage the cakes

I used to work at Morrison's and boy they treat you like a skivvy
minimum wage you have to do all your own cleaning, ovens floor
cream machines fridges and freezers. Then if managers want something putting out you have to go and get it from the freezers horrible place to work

Before the "only giving me half a smile should be a sacking offense" types lay into you, I would like to say that someone has to do those sort of jobs.

I appreciate working for Morrisons may not be the best environment, even compared to other supermarkets. Just that some may not see your post as evidence of that.

Here at work we were asked to help each other out, and spend five minutes on each snowy morning shovelling snow. The number who thought they were above that sort of work boggled my mind.
