Morrisons staff putting things aside.

It could be argued that a S/A seeing people looking at the cakes should have asked them if they wanted to purchase the cream cakes before taking them away.It is known as being responsive to your customers needs and giving them good service.
What after she'd seen him put them back on the shelf?
And if they were taken for reasons other than purchasing herself, then no she shouldn't ask anyoneIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Judging by the OP's narrative of events, whether or not the assistant wanted to buy them herself is irrelevant. I think it is fair to assume that - whether her reason was spite or otherwise - her motivation, knowing that the OP was looking to purchase the items in question, was to ensure that he was not able to.
You must be reading different to others.
Ooh she took them away how mean of her
Oh sorry,I forgot she was trying to put him off by spending so long on the scones...get a life !!!!!!!
And looking to purchase? He put them back on the shelf and talked to his wife
Jeez!If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

I work in retail and I'm 99.9% sure that the customer service team will just laff at ur complaint.
Get a grip, it's only a box of cakes.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth

A few of us actually stated that could well be the case, along with the suggestion that she isn't psychic and isn't paid to listen to the OP talking to his wife
Unfortunately, others seem to think that she must posses the above qualities and must also have bought them for herself. The latter probably being because they can't see past their own way of needing everything and every bargain.
sorry,,,, only read about half of the thread before posting this !:o
I agree with you !I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

What happened to the customer coming first?
Fine when the shop shuts, any that are unsold buy.
I've worked in retail and it's not an acceptable thing to keep sale items from going onto the shop floor, they're designed to get the customer in, not save the employee money.
They already have staff discount as a perk of the job.
No different to a shop advertising on the TV that somethings on sale for 75% off, only for none of them to actually be available because the staff have all kept the items back for themselves.[/QUOTE

forgot to mention that trolleys could contain valuable one pound coins:j The cakes were cream and could quite well have been past their best and the staff member may have just noticed. Do you really think for one minute that someone would take them out just to take them back again? Or would you have bought them anyway just to sue the supermarket:mad:ACHIEVING THE AIM SINCE.........0
