I opened all my accounts on-line, I was always logged in to my accounts and just applied for another classic account, once I got that simply upgrade, only a couple of times it came up on screen that I was to phone up as this was not available to me,,I waited a few hours and tried again,, succesfully.
I was always logged in so they knew who I was and what accounts I have0 -
I applied for my 2nd Classic account today after logging in online.
It was just a page (or 2), then I can't really remember, but I recall it's to the effect of I will receive a Welcome Pack in the next few days.
a. Does it mean my 2nd account opening has been successful?
b. Does this cause a credit search?
Thanks!0 -
Dear partlydave or all
Sorry to ask you again. When you apply online, did you use the link which is available on the current a/c.
Or you are using online application which is open to anybody else ?
Do we need to confirm that we do not currently have a/c with them ?
Thank you
ADINDAS
I applied online by just going to existing customer choice, then opened another classic account, which you dont have to say youve already got an account with them, then wait for the stuff to arrive in the post or watch out for it on your a/c online, then upgrade to Vantage:)firsttimestudent wrote: »I applied for my 2nd Classic account today after logging in online.

a. should be, but wait for the paperwork. It'll probably be showing online before you get your paperwork in the post:)
b. dont know if it involves a credit search, I thought not.Justice for the 96 YNWA

OH just applied for a second account and it took 3 working days for paperwork to arrive. Next day we could see account online.0 -

Anyone else find the following comparisons a bit daft?
Lloyds TSB's eSaver only pays 0.1% gross if you don't have more than £10k in it.
versus
And yet you and your wife can have 10, yes TEN, Classic Vantage current accounts, each paying 4% gross, which are not exactly savings accounts.
(It seems to me that someone in Lloyds TSB is on some type of massive bonus that is dependent on the sheer number of current accounts that are being opened.)
Try to transfer out of your eSaver into one of your Vantage current accounts on a Friday evening and the transaction will not show up until the Monday. Hardly an incentive to bank that way, is it?
This is a Same Sort Code to Same Sort Code transaction.
versus
Do a Payment or Transfer out of your Vantage account into someone else's account and it will go by Faster Payments and be transacted within a couple of hours - at any time of the day 24/7 and even over the weekend.
This is a One Sort Code to Another Sort Code transaction.0 -

I applied for another account (on-line) Friday and it was available to use Monday so seems to be 1 working day for it to be visible."How could I have been so mistaken as to trust the experts" - John F Kennedy 19620 -
Thanks!
Mine was online and working at about 2pm today (applied online yesterday at about 10am).
Upgraded to Vantage and transferred £5000 into it. Everything was good, just surprised that the "statement" in the new account hasn't worked fully yet - it still says "no recent transactions/activity".0 -
Those of you who are lucky enought to get more than 3 a/c, keep it low profile. Do not let the Lloyds TSB now about this.

Here is the direct quotation:
"I just applied for this account (e.g NEW: 5% on a Monthly Saver from Lloyds TSB ) and they noticed I have 5 current accounts with them paying 4% and was told I can only have 3 and they will be writing to me about this. So be careful "
