Lloyds TSB Vantage - Multiple accounts

Warning: wild speculation follows.
The point of the Vantage account is to attract people who keep (or can keep) large amounts of cash in their current account, with the expectation that they will then go on to take other products from Lloyds. It's not to attract depositor's funds, which could be done much more cheaply and effectively by offering a clean instant access account at 3% with no deposit limits.
We're tolerated, not the desired catch. It's in our interests that the account is "difficult" to operate, as if it became wildly popular it would cease to exist.0 -
Still not been able to get more than 3 accounts - 1 joint plus two in my name. OH's application has not been sorted. I think they must be tightening up.
Keep trying online - I've now got 5 and have applied for my 6th. Another member of my family has now got 5 but others are still stuck with 3. The only difference I think is the length of time we've had an account with them.0 -
Dear dov
Have more than 3 vantage a/c under similar name (same person) is againtst their T&C, it is clearly stated in T&C. But it is not clear yet what they are going to do if they find people have more than 3 a/c.

Ive had an account with Lloyds since I was at college! More decades ago than I care to remember. So it obviously isnt based on customer loyalty0 -
After the interest is paid (so you are officially into the next month), which depends whether it's a full moon or not. Go for the middle of the month to be safe.0

so if you pay the £1k in before the interest is added, even though it's the 1st and a new month, it might not (or will not?) count as funding for that new month???0 -
