i just noticed that instead of opening 2 additional classic accounts with vantage on-i only have classic accounts--i have vantage on my original account but cant see a way of getting it applied to the others.-i can only do it online!
This worked for me.
1. On the 'Your Accounts' page click on the the Classic account you want to upgrade to Vantage.
2. Click on the 'Apply Online' box on the right hand side of the screen.
3. Click on the 'Current Account' link.
4. On the bottom left of the screen you should see an option to 'Add Vantage to your account'. Click on the 'Apply now' link.
5. Select the Classic account you want to upgrade to Vantage.
6. Click the agree to conditions box and enter your password.
7. Repeat for the other account.
8. Your account name should have changed to Vantage.
9. Rename the 3 to what you want to call them to avoid confusion and use these names when transfering in the £1000 per month.
10. You only need to set up a re-cylcle to your feed account from one of them as you can transfer the other 2 to it.
11. Don't forget to R85 them by mail if you are a non taxpayer.0 -

So you only have one Classic account?
You then applied Vantage to it three times?

No. On your 'Your Accounts' page you will see all your accounts. In my case it was showing my original Vantage plus the 2 extra Classic's I'd opened. One was as a new customer and the other while logged in. It made no difference, both were opened by the next day.0 -

So you have to open a Classic account and then upgrade it to Vantage?

Not necessarily so. If you've had a Lloyds current account for a long time like me then you can convert it to Classic/Vantage online. If it was tax free already then this transfers to Vantage as well, ie you get the full 4% between £5-7k automatically.
If you don't have an account then you have to open a Classic as a new customer on their website. You can easily change this to a Vantage online once it's open as they give you this option online. If you apply for and get a Classic 2 and 3 then it's not so easy. Follow my instructions for 2 and 3 which worked for me. I opened Classic 2 pretending I was a new customer and Classic 3 while logged into my account. There was no difference, both showed the next day.0 -

I've just tried to open a second classic vantage account using the instructions from a&akay in post 454 - got as far as stage 3 but got a message saying that they could not open a secondary current account. Does anyone know if the rules have changed?
Am holding on for an adviser to answer the phone but maybe someone on here knows?0
