Hello, Just in the process of opening these accounts. Once I have deposited my £7000 in to each account do I then just add another thousand to account A then transfer it to account B and C and back to A again?
You don't need to "add" another thousand. Just send £1000 from A to B to C and back to A.

How longs does this £1000 need to sit in each account for?
Just set up a SO from A to B, and another SO from B to C, and another SO from C to A (all for the same day).

And when in the month does it need to appear in each account?

    Thank You.

    Doesn't matter.

  • I've got told by my branch manager that I could only have Vantage on one current account which is a little disappointing. I've already got this up and running and have had it for a while, but when I asked to setup another, she said I cant have Vantage on it.

I basically need a savings account for about 5-8 months and the interest needs to be paid monthly, so I'm now looking at a Post Office Online Saver, but it would of been nice to have multiple Classic Vantage accounts as my current account is with them anyway.
  • Thanks drlabman.

My OH has recently opened some Vantage accounts. He opened the first one on-line and the 2nd and 3rd by phone about a fortnight apart, no problems. There is even a freephone number on the website.

    In the same boat.

The tempting 2.9 % Instant access at the PO seems to come with some experience of stability, reliability & security expressed here:-

    Northern Rock's offerring 2.5.

    .

Which is fine if you have at least £1k in all of those accounts at all times. But not otherwise - as Lloyds processing will not necessarily take the accounts in that order.

I take your point but I was specifically answering Tigger123 who'd already said that (s)he'd deposited £7K in each account.

My manager initially told me this till I showed them their own T&C's which say "Customers are limited to a total of 3 Vantage Accounts"

I'd push them again and go for three. It worked for me when i stood my ground.

Yeah, the PO account looked good at first, but after reading through some sites, I'm not keen now. Thanks for the link to the reviews, they are pretty poor!

    Interesting stuff!

I'll give it another go then, I'll also use the "I know other people who have 3 open" excuse too.

    Cheers!
