How I wish i had seen this thread before I dealt with this company. I too have been raped for £240 pounds by them and have been unable to get a refund.
An item was sent (after six weeks) but was faulty and was returned immediately but they have fobbed me off for three months now. I paid via skrill with a Nationwide debit card.
I hope thus hasn't been asked for before but could the more legal savvy members please give any advice as to how best for us all to proceed? I realise we all have slightly different cases but there must be someone with enough knowledge to post a reply that covers most variations?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you
There is lots of advice on how to get your money back in this thread.

If you paid by debit or credit card then have a read of MSE's articles about Chargeback and Section 75 Refunds respectively.

If you used some intermediary, like perhaps Paypal or Skrill, then maybe you need to investigate any buyer protection they might offer.

Now let me guess the outcome of this........and of course thank you for going to the trouble of signing up to moneysavingexpert to tell us how you ignored all the warnings about Simply Electronics before placing your order with them.

I'm going to guess that you'll be telling us soon that it arrived OK, and that there was no VAT chargeable on it because it was posted, somehow, in the UK.

Would I be right? Not being too cynical about this, am I? :D

I have no power to think for anybody but I believe some will believe some won't.
All info I am wrinting are accurate to monitor one order I am dealing with SE because I gather much info before ordering I know what I could expectating.

How I understand they got a warehouse in uk the headquarter in china. Send the goods to the UK warehouse then send with a special delivery service to the buyer. From China to uk is the long wait then uk to buyer the short way.

Now is my 4th days I ordered not a sign...
So I 'll keep posting and we 'll see.

Your English has an unusual 'feel' to it. Almost as if it were being written by someone living in China........ :)

Yeah that fine no worries I 'll still update...
Now got an order state change.
From fully accepted my order to
"stock Allocation, We are arranging stock for your order. You can expect dispatch in the coming days."

It's the 4th days of my order. Now another 6 day to see how they manage the delivery and the quality of the good....

Again will not take any ofense from the people that throw stone at other with less abilities.

    Be blessed.

Loving all this! It's like a drama. You know the sort - the type where everyone knows the outcome well before the finish.

Do tell us why you chose to ignore all the dire warnings on this thread about Simply Electronics and (allegedly) place an order.

And why does the rather old-fashioned but still relevant word 'stooge' keep forming in my head? :D

The truth is I was asking myself why so many complaint is simply people always trying to pay less...
I presume you would be satisfy if I got a negative experience ...that normale looking at all those review wow...they should be shut down.
    But people still buying again...
Now I have already persue wrong doing in this company by not speaking straight to the customer. I wanted to cancel but feel like it would be more problem for me than let the order going through. Advice by PayPal claim department. So I decided to let it run and monitor it to all.
They told me after 10 days if not getting my good will get a refund also if the good is not genuine will get a refund.

That my reason I am ordering from SE.

My money is protected through PayPal, I am not in hurry but if it's going over the 10 days it s another story.
