And you've had plenty of opportunity to post details of your order to verify that you were a real purchaser and not a
mer. You obviously declined that opportunity. Your choice.

I'm done, I hope you're pleased with yourself. I've posted my order details, the only thing you don't have is the card number I used to pay for it and my address. Personal message me I would love to meet you face to face, I'll wager you wouldn't say half the things you've said while your protected by the anonymity of this forum if you were stood right in front of me. I don't know how the people who run this site allow the constant abuse of a new user, but it has been allowed to continue from day one. I have learned from my experience on this forum to take review sites with a very large pinch of salt. If everyone who leaves a positive review is treated in the same way I have been treated it is no surprise the majority of posts are negative. All you 'fervent' savers gang up on positive reviewers and try to discredit them. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. What was supposed to be a five minute review has turned into a week long witch hunt.0

You've posted nothing that verifies your claims that are opposite to the overwhelming majority of experiences encountered by, lets say, more longstanding members of this site, and inhabitants of other boards such as AVForums.
If robust questioning means that you and your paymasters are going to give up creating one post wonder accounts (or which this thread has maybe a dozen or so people who create accounts, post once, and then never log in again) to post positive experiences that border on fantasy, then I have achieved my objective.
I do concede however that there is the minutest of possibilities that despite you only registering to post a positive experience with Simply, that you actually are a genuine customer of theirs. However unfortunately you have not responded to my requests that you post details of your order to prove that genuineness, and your story does have, lets say, holes in it.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
...seems to mean different things for this company - Nexus 5 was 5-10 days for delivery - was for a birthday - was delivered 21 days from order - so unlike some people on this forum I've got at least the product or money - thing is I bought one from Carphone Warehouse for the birthday gift so have two
Currently trying to get a refund, but after reading some of the horror stories on this and other forums I'm tempted to keep as opposed to sending back.

Were you charged VAT and duty on this brian? If not, any idea why not e.g. it was described as a gift or as chocolate or as value nil.illegitimi non carborundum0

Hi all,
I am a new-be wanted to share an up to date process shopping with Simply Electronics.
I would like to inform you of a purchase i am doing at the moment with SE. I will let you know the outcome.
I order a Samsung tablet on the 28/04/14 it's only today that my order has been "fully accepted" ( 2days after paying..) I paid through Paypal instead of them secure payment.
There were no option to do that but after reading all the wrong doing of this company I email them to send me a Paypal invoice.
Alright that will be all for today will post when I will got so more update.
best regards to all :j0 -
Hi froggitt, about the VAT with SE after reading about the VAT on their terms and conditions I call them that is the answer:
We take charge of the custom charges it s include in the price listed on the site.
We dispatch from uk so not too worry about any charges we take care of that.
I believe they get it ship from China then they ship to you. So this may explain why no VAT were charge.0 -

I'm going to guess that you'll be telling us soon that it arrived OK, and that there was no VAT chargeable on it because it was posted, somehow, in the UK.
Would I be right? Not being too cynical about this, am I?0 -
How I wish i had seen this thread before I dealt with this company. I too have been raped for £240 pounds by them and have been unable to get a refund.
An item was sent (after six weeks) but was faulty and was returned immediately but they have fobbed me off for three months now. I paid via skrill with a Nationwide debit card.
I hope thus hasn't been asked for before but could the more legal savvy members please give any advice as to how best for us all to proceed? I realise we all have slightly different cases but there must be someone with enough knowledge to post a reply that covers most variations?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you0
