Evening everyone
DS2 has been with his dad this weekend, so went into town today to spend my vouchers, was measured for new underwear, feel so much more supported! Also bought a little black dress, reduced to half price with some ofmy other christmas vouchers so spent next to nothing and got some good bargains.
Tomorrow I am back at the fracture clinic with ds2 as he got a skin infection round one of the pins in his leg, has been on antibiotics all weekend so hopefully we will be ok.
os wise done the regular cleaning, need to put another load in wm. Kitchen has been cleaned so feel I have accomplished something.
Hugs to anyone who needs or wants one(((()))).

Evening all
Well the shepherds pie went down great, DD1 and BF came to dinner too. She saw the little hats that I was crocheting and asked if I could do one her size, so I have been making her one this afternoon and she is delighted with it. She has pinned a seed pearl broach on the fold back bit and I have to say I feel really proud of having made it!:D:D:D
The oat bar/flapjacks with the left over nuts, raisins and chocolate chips have gone down really well too and DD has given me her left over nuts/raisins to make some for her also:rolleyes: Will probably make them on my day off on thursday or next weekend when I have more time.
Welcome to the new posters
SunnyGirl - hope you are all ok.

That sounds delish! I had lemon curd on toast yesterday - I'd forgotten how lovely it is!
I used to have cravings for lemon curd and banana sandwiches, when I was pregnant with DD1.

Hi all
PenPen has recommended that some of the flyladies might want to come over and do our chatting with you lovely lot over here rather than clog up the flylady thread so I'm planning on joining you all from tomorrow. Hope that is ok.
Can we post as often as we like as long as we include something old stylish?
Are there any other rules/guidelines please as I don't want to wade in and start upsetting folk?
Just got to get an item on ebay and then I think an earlyish night as I'm invigilating an exam tomorrow so need to leave earlier than usual - that'll be fun - not. Must remember to set the lumie alarm so my body has some hint that it needs to get up.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Just heard that the school buses arent running again tomorrow . I have signed up to flylady this week so the dd's can do some homework while i do housework. Although i have enjoyed the extra time with them we are all suffering from lack of routine.
I do miss baking cakes - I wonder if I could do one in the slow cooker or the microwave? (I have no cooker at the moment). I have a lovely jar of lemon curd that I bought from a french farmers market - that would be nice in something:snow_laug HM Christmas 2010

Evening all
Hubby has a days work tomorrow, shoveling snow, I hope his back holds out, he won't turn it down as I've lost pay through school being closed.
Good Luck Redruby.
Csarina, I move 4 times in 12 months, boy did it help with the decluttering.
Nic1lou2, what sort of hats are you crocheting? I've made 4 today, adult sized ones.
DS2 finally made it through to collect his washing & stayed for dinner, he's so grateful for the electric blanket I gave him, his flat's so cold, single glazed, no heating that he's stayed in bed some days!
I'm off to watch TV in bed, early start tomorrow for us both, 5;30 ish.
Take care everyone.
Hugs Hester
