Good morning guys,
+2 here today at the moment, very still and cloudy. I doubt we will see any snow today.
The kids have just been sent up to make their beds and tidy up and it sounds like a herd of elephants up there. Today I want too finish off some sewing and sort out our food and see where we are up to with all these tins!. I don't think we will need a proper shop until next weekend and I am going to let the kiddies have school dinners this week as it is so cold. DD wants her nails doing as well.
Lunch will be ham and cheese toasties and turkey casserole for tea.
Our heating is still on low and I haven't put the fire on yet, but that could change later. The gas for this quarter is going to be horrendous!
Gentle hugs to all in need today and keep safe and warm peeps. xxx

Morning all,
I'm watching Gok's Fashion Fix, I really like Gok Wan, that may be just his TV personality but having never met him I have nothing to compare, he just seems quite warm and genuine. Also I pick up some good tips!
BF offered to take me for lunch, so I think we're going to go to a nice little Thai place in Hammersmith who do a 3-course set lunch menu for £6.50 a head (which is excellent), and then have a little look round the shops, I really need a pair of work trousers. I've got to do something about this extra weight I've put on too, I split up with my alcoholic ex-BF (my first long-term relationship) and the stress of all that plus being really worried about the fact I was unemployed and in dire straights financially (mostly because of him) meant I didn't eat for a good few months and as a result lost a lot of weight. However when I started eating again, I piled on the weight, and more. I'm quite sedentary, it's funny because when I was younger I used to love running about, and I really enjoy walking and exercising once I get going, it's just getting the motivation to leave the flat! I've got so many/much clothes just sitting in my wardrobe that I can't put on and that's just making the situation worse
Also everything is still icy and I need to get a little more confident walking around as I have to go to work, I don't think my boss believes me that it's quite as bad as it is. I'm still aching a little after the fall I had on Friday, my neck is starting to hurt which is unfortunate!
I also need to do some organisation and housework, there's only me and BF but he's not really interested in tidying and things being clean so he'll get something out and just leave it out. I'm no better though!
Sorry for the ramble!
Thinking of everyone, hugs and positive thoughts to all
Take care,
Caroline xx**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

Hi Caroline,
My DD's & I met Gok Wan about a year ago, we spent ages with him as we had DGD with us, she was about 4 months old, & he loves babies, we got her out the pram so he could have a cuddle, he was very good with her & seemed compleately unfazed even when she puked all over his black outfit.

CLeared up the kitchen, ds has vacced thru as it was a mess, 3rd time this week it's been done, but I have been sewing.
Made plum crumble for lunch but I think I have used the wrong recipe, used 1/4 fat and sugar to flour as for scones, rather than 1/2 to flour. THey'll have to sprinkle sugar on it if it's not right. Custard made but looking a bit thin. Bol is defrosting so will jsut have the spaghetti to cook.....and a massssssiiivvvve heap of ironing.
Scrubbed the 'plastic' linen table cloth and we've put the table back to normal size again. I hate that job, but at least beetroot will bleach off and candlewax scrapes off. Oily stuff seems to be the challenge. We're troughing our way through a big tub of costco semi dried tomatoes in oil with our snack meals. THey are sooooo delish!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

well Noah woke at 11.15 crying with a "blockolly"nose, has had some more Calpol and within 10 mins was asleep on sofa again:o:eek:
I really don`t think he will be at school tomorrow so frugal mealplan for the next shop:rolleyes:;)
I may do it now as i have to stay quiet.....am thinking of using my supermarket to see if Waitrose is cheaper, have never used much of their stuff tbh but they dont have delivery charges either, unlike MrS that I usually use. Will have to see if I can do a Noah friendly shop there too with him being brand specific:cool:0 -

IGok too!! I love Sunday mornings on E4 when I get to watch lots of Gok. He always make me smile. I'd like to be Gokked but not on national tv!
I have decided not to go to my parents as it's started snowing here. Not much but I don't want to risk it when I 'm back at work tomorrow! So I'm going to have leftover mash, microwave pizza, coleslaw and potato salad for lunch.

Afternoon all.
Not such a great day here, at the moment.
I spent a lot of the night in pain and it still hasn't settled now. I have pain in many of my joints, especially my hip and I didn't manage to get much sleep at all
I feel really miserable but all I can do is rest until things ease.
We're having pork for dinner today, which DD has helped me get into the slow cooker and I can sort the potatoes and veg from my bed. The girls will need to help dish up, but at least they won't starve
Mind you, I did wonder about a take out, but not even sure they would deliver in this weather, so plodded on with the roast.
Obviously nothing really OS today.
Hope you all have a good day though, whatever you're doing and if you're out and about, do take it easy.
