Afternoon everyone :hello:
Sorry to hear about your friend Diva. xx
Hope you feel much better soon Pipkin. xx
Pooby, I am wishing you all the best for your move. You deserve this fresh start and I'm delighted for the three of you (and little dog)
Have achieved a fair bit this morning after feeling guilty for my lazy Saturday.
Packed the others off for a walk and I deep cleaned the kitchen. I need to do the bathroom next.
We've just had lunch of HM chicken broth and HM bread. Tea is baked half salmon with new pots, carrots, leeks and cabbage and there should be plenty of salmon left for fishcakes during the week.
Sorted out the rest of January's budget this morning to allow for 2 clients who are several months late with their payments. How they can sleep at night when they owe a small business alot of money and simply won't explain why, I do not know. One looks like he's left the country so I suppose we'll never see that money now. Sometimes, this self employment lark is no fun at all.
Opps... sorry for the whinge.
Luckily I know how to be extra frugal when times are lean and the family barely notice the difference.
Enjoy the rest of your days...

Happy Sunday everyone!
I hope no one minds me joining inEveryone was so kind in helping me with cottage pie on the other thread that I thought I would join right in with you all and give you an update! haha!
Right at this moment, I have for the first time a pan of mince cooking ready to be a cottage pie and it has NO shop brought sauce! Its been made all with stuff thats in my cupboard AND I have made enough to freeze for a meal in the week! I only had a 0.300kg pack of mince! LOL
We are a family of four, two adults, a 16 year old and a 11 year old! So lots of hungry appetites! lol
I made my cottage pie mince by frying an onion, adding my mince, then made a gravy up with granules ( sorry!) added a gloop of bovril, thinly diced carrots and some dried mixed herbs....then I added a couple handfuls of porridge oats and some plain flour....its gorgeous and thick, so I could even water it down some more! But we like it "stodgy" in this house lol
We usually buy the jar of homepride Shepards pie sauce....chuck that on the mince, thats it! Already mine is smelling better and its worked out so much cheaper!! Which is what we need!
We have a LOT of debts to clear, so we are watching every penny right now. And this month is horrendous just after Christmas
But Hubby and I were talking and we never want to get into the state where we bleed money again on stupid stuff we dont need, yet never being able to afford a holiday...so now we hope to look after the pennies and instead of having stuff we just dont need, wasting money on "posh food stuff" etc.....we hope to clear some of our mess as well as start living a little because we are now prudent
Anyway... I ramble! LOL
I hope you are all staying warm and safe and having a lovely day xxxThankful For My LBM
Proud To Be Dealing With Our Debts.
