I too got my letter today from Talk Talk to say my monthly cost will increase to £18.48 a month. I still get free evening and weekend calls but broadband will go from unlimited to 40Gb. This will not be sufficient so I rung them and they told me I can cancel and they were happy to do it then and there - it takes 5 days. I only joined Tiscali last July but because they have changed the contract it means I can leave so I am now looking for a better supplier, has anyone got any suggestions. I thought Sky as we are already with them, O2 look good but they don't seem to offer telephone as well.0

I was on £15 a month, new rate starts 15th Feb. The price increase isn't so bad and I gain free evening calls, but it's the principle of the thing and the way they have gone about it that I don't like, so I'm shopping round.
O2 does look good (£10 month for O2 customers), also heard good things about Be internet but don't think they do phone bundles....0

Does anyone know what happens to the "free" tiscali Email accounts?
I have had a shandy@tiscali-co-uk account for years ever since I used Tiscali as my pay as you go dial up.
I use Virgin as my isp now.
It is all still working but I wonder for how long?“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0

I joined Tiscali in June 09. Does that mean I can cancel without penalty? Did you call the number on the letter 08712223311?0

For nearly three years i have been trying to escape from tiscali,at the end of a 12 month contract i decided to move to sky, i informed them and asked for a mac no. I recieved it and moved,i thought that would be my last dealing with
t iscali, sadly i was wrong
i later noticed that ticali were still taking money from my account and stoped the payment, and since then they maintain i am still a customer of tiscali, and have been sending me demanding letters claiming £370 pounds.they are now threatning court action, i invited them through a solicitors letter to do this two years ago, so i welcome this.
I write this tale to warn anybody considering moving to them or tiscali mark 2, be aware. In my opinion they were/are a criminal enterprise. Google[tiscali is crap] for more.0

We've just got 'the letter' in the post today: To improve your customer experience we're going to up your monthly bill from £12 to £19 and cap your previously unlimited broadband.
We've got the line rental bundle thingy and I've looked for something cheaper & unlimited and am struggling to find anything. Any ideas?
Not out of the 18 month contract yet either - is that a problem? Will they want the wireless thingy back and will that even work on another network?
 So many questions, sorry!0

If you moved from Tiscali to Talk Talk watch out for double charging.
"TalkTalk cannot assist you with a billing issue with Tiscli, although we are part of the same group of companies we are not the same company. We are working through a process to become one company however at present any issues with your old Tiscli woudl need to be addressed by them, as TalkTalk agents do not have access to the Tiscali billing systems.
If you provide Tiscali with a copy of your first bill demonstrating the date you connected to TalkTalk they should refund any overcharges as you can only be in receipt of BB form one company, therefore you can only be liable for the serivce you receive i.e. TalkTalk."

 LLU options?
 https://www.samknows.com, then exchange search.
You will invariably get a free wireless router with whatever alternative ISP you go to, but your TT one will work on any ADSL connection. No free lunch, and no free laptop 0 0
