Blimey Daksa....
I guess we've all got our nightmare stories....amazing what people can do to each other really.
And I thought I left out the interesting back-story that would really have rated a blimey: alcoholic junkie mum, 7 addresses (B&B, hostel, refuges), 6 schools, SS involvement, kidnapping - all in less than 6 months, poor little mite.

Can I just clarify why I ask my DSD when she last had a bath....?
1. She has had several infections due to not wiping herself properly
2. I usually have to cut her toe nails because they get that bad they tear through her socks
3. Her mother is a lazy bastage (you get the idea)
4. We have a routine in our house. We bathe our 2 year old every night before bed as it really helps to settle her, so we automatically ask DSD when she last had a bath so we can work out what order the baths/showers are going in, iykwim?
I hear you - I had to take DSD to the doctor's recently as when I undressed her for a bath I discovered all one side of her torso was covered in ringworm! Her mum had seen it several days before but not done anything about it! Just because we're not the mum doesn't mean we can't step up

Should have mentioned this - if things are so bad that you have a court order stating pick up times then if this is regularly flouted you do need to go back to your solicitor. If it's a one off then exercise some discretion and get your OH to tell her he doesn't want it to happen again. And I thought I left out the interesting back-story that would really have rated a blimey: alcoholic junkie mum, 7 addresses (B&B, hostel, refuges), 6 schools, SS involvement, kidnapping - all in less than 6 months, poor little mite.

:eek::eek: And I thought I had a nightmare on my hands - that piddles all over my little psychopath (I make absolutely no apology for this!).
You're so right though - always good to get a wide ranging opinion - although I often think it's a bit like hotel reviews (bear with me!) - take the very good and very bad with a pinch of salt and look at what gets said in the middle:D.0
