    Can anyone help?
www.software4students.co.uk are offering Microsoft Office for £38.99 for students. Have checked and my kids school is listed.

But I'm confused by all the techno speak and not sure if you get the full legit working product. Plus it seems you can only install on one PC/Laptop. Anybody had any experience with this company or have a clue what they are saying?

    Thanks in advance.

i just had a quick look at that and i may be wrong but my theory on that is they are offering you cheaper software if you have children , but if you have a home access laptop from becta there is open office on it anyway , thats enough for a child to use it has the basic office requirements
if u scroll back a few pages someone did ask the diff between open office and microsoft office and someone explained it
i too get confused with all the techno talk but im learing slowly lol

Lol, that was me that asked....

and I think the answer was not a lot of difference but it wouldn't hurt for kids to learn how to use Microsoft Office as this is what they would use in the future.

I know my 9 year old uses it at school so it's what they are used to. They may even be able to teach me a thing or two!:rotfl:

Sure someone only needed the code on the letter when ordering it on-line.

Still no Laptop. Has now been 2 weeks! Tried to cancel to go with Positive IT but there is no cancelation team to speak to. Have to wait for call back! Been waiting days for that! They said it's being delivered today with DHL so I asked for tracking code! There is no tracking code! I give up! They've taken the money and theres no laptop! Given up waiting now...seems like I can't do anything! Will see if it arrives today...I'm guessing it won't!!

I ordered Samsung Laptop on 08/03....still waiting! It hasn't even left the warehouse yet! It's in the que. They have no idea whatsoever when it will be delivered. Maybe Thursday next week, maybe not! Seems like I've been waiting ages. They are sooo unhelpful. Wish I'd not payed the extra money to them now and gone with Positive IT and got free printer and memory stick. Was trying to do the right thing by my daughter by getting additional educational pack.

Where do you get a free printer from??
