toshiba is a nice one and has a better graphics card so im told but its only single core , were as the samsung is duel core0 -
That's what I thought but I was told it wouldn't matter since it would only be used for basic things.
I'm so confused, lol.0 -
Back to computers.....!!
Anyway, we have had the Samsung R519 on this grant for some weeks now.
I think its great! 1Gb Ram does not appear to hinder it in anyway (will get another gb in a few weeks anyway), but the only thing I feel that lets it down are the speakers. They are naff. Terribly so. It's a nightmare when the kids are trying to chat with Granddad in Spain on MSN so I will have to see if I can get some cheap USB ones for this purpose only.
I have also been invited to London for an interview for research purposes about the scheme. I am tempted, will give me a day out and they are paying me £50 for going.
ours is brill too , our childs nan bought some speakers from argos 17.99 bush make , and they have made it sound like a hi-fi system , well worth the money0 -

lol i was excatley the same i spent days debating over which one , i got a good friend who builds pc's and he said right top and tail for the price ur not gettin very good value , however its free and when you add on the 12 months net dongle , the laptop bag , the mouse and delivery i surpose it adds up , he sai dthere isnt much between them at all , 1 as a better graphics card and one has duel core , something i have never understood , but he does , so i said is duel better than single he said yes , so that made my mind up for me plus the site i used was the only site offering a free 2gb upgrade , all the other sites was only offering 1gb , we have had ours over a week now and its a lovely little laptop cant fault nothing really
and the delivery was 3 days i used positive IT hope this helps , but like he told me there is not muchbetween them0 -

Can anyone help?
https://www.software4students.co.uk are offering Microsoft Office for £38.99 for students. Have checked and my kids school is listed.
But I'm confused by all the techno speak and not sure if you get the full legit working product. Plus it seems you can only install on one PC/Laptop. Anybody had any experience with this company or have a clue what they are saying?
Thanks in advance.0
