Bit late I know but Happy Birthday nmlc, hope that its been a good one!
More snow here yesterday afternoon, hard frost overnight made it a bit of an adventure going to hospital this morning for OH's blood test....still low so will be back next Wednesday. Good thing about the snow is that there I have no desire to hang around town so spent only €.70c on tip after breakfast....OH paid for food so a cheap treat for me...like I need to eat a full Irish.
We had yesterday's leftover ham and cabbage with newly cooked spuds for dinner, no pudding as friends came for coffee and we all had some Christmas cake, had dinner at 5 and feeling a little hungry now...not sure what to have, fridge still seems full of Christmas stuff.
Still doing a little washing every day and drying round the house, not much more needs doing but then will be time to change bed again and towels in bathroom, so guess it will be ongoing until weather heats up....allegedly that will be some time in February.
Haribo, sorry that you haven't managed to get to this side of the Irish sea...missing a family get-together is tough, but there will be another time, when it is safer to travel.
Nephew is due to get off for LA to-morrow afternoon, hope that it works out, although DD2 has been delighted to see him....its been a year and as I only have 2 nephews they have always been close to my lot.
Hugs to all in need or want at present, I don't like having to debate with myself whether I will go somewhere or not, so hope that the weather clears even a bit soon. JackieO, take care when you go out to-morrow....gripper thingy sounds like a good idea.
Sleep well all and stay safe

AussieLass: I've heard that painting a little 'target' on the back of the toilet bowl gives little ones something to aim for! Not sure if it works as I've never done it (don't have kids or have kids round)
**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

Nurse got here late this morning, but TBH, I wasnt expecting her at all because of the roads. She gave me a check over and has offered to get me a mattress for the sofa as I cant get comfy and have some bed sores starting. Does anyone know anything about the air matress...Im sure thats what she said...other than that, they can offer a bed for the lounge, but I really dont like the idea of that....I would have to be "ill" to have that:D
When my dad came out of hospital they supplied him with a bed with one of those air matresses coz he's got a bedsore (poor thing, he's really been suffering with it) and he said it wasn't too bad to lie on. I'll ask him more about it again tomorrow (well today, lol) when I'm back there. I presume the ones you get for your sofa are pretty much the same. They do make a noise and have to be plugged in all of the time whne they've been set up so use electricity but if it's what you need prolly best to get it!
*hugs* to all who need/want them0 -
Am sitting up as I can't sleep - and it doesn't seem fair on DH to keep tossing and turning all the time! Have been trying to catch up on various emails and paperwork. Too much on my mind. Am now looking at dust on the DVD storage boxes!!! Can I be bothered to fetch a duster now? No, probably not!
Hope you've all had a reasonable day, despite the weather.Resolution:
