Thanks for the hugs. I feel better now. Im ignoring them. Happy Birthday NMLC - hope you can still get away xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Happy Birthday NMLC:bdaycake:
Late in posting today. It is my day off and TBH have had a very lazy relaxing morning and I don't feel a bit guilty!!!!!:D
Think that it is because I am not going to go out till much later when hubbie come home (he has 4x4 and is taking me to the supermarket) Normally my day off is spent racing around various supermarkets etc so it is nice not to have to. Wm is on and am now going to make some soda bread to go with HM soup made last night. Salmon for tea with HM savoury wedges and corn on the cob.
Snow still incredibly deep outside, keep safe and warm everyone. I too am fed up of it all now as want to do things like go to wool shop and get some more wool and little things that you normally do without thinking about and it becomes a major outing in this snow.
Anyway will check back later

Hi everyone,
Lol at the snow measurement - my ds is the manager of a LIdl store and was asked by Head Office yesterday to measure the snow in the car park - he went over to one of the corners to do it and manage to get it over a foot - so that is how it's done Hester.
Waiting to hear from dd as she was travelling from Melbourne to Sidney. It's night there now so I probably won't hear until she gets up. I haven't spoken to her since Monday so I'm trying not to worry.
I woke up at about 2.30 this morning to go to the loo. Since I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea I have to wear a face mask connected to an air pressure machine when I sleep, very glamorous (not). I have to remove it to get up so I did but when I came back to put it on all the straps fell apart and I couldn't get it back together. It took DH about 10 minutes to fix it as well with me getting crosser and crosser, I'm not good when I'm tired! I'm desperately trying to lose weight to see if that helps, even though I am not hugely fat or anything, the consultant said it was probably something to do with my underactive thyroid.
I haven't read all the thread so if you are hurting, ill or sad take care of yourself.0 -

Afternoon
I didn't go back to bed at all so have been up for almost 12 hours already! I'll probably crash out in a few hours :rotfl:. My flat is positively boiling nowI put all storage heaters on (I normally only use one) and it's lovely now. All my washing has dried too.
My car started fine so I went out to Tesco. The roads are completely clear here, but my car park is icy, luckily I only had a tiny slide when I returned. Supermarket was busy for a daytime, but had plenty of food on shelves. I did my normal monthly shop and also got some loo rolls and Napolina chopped tomatoes which were on offer. I managed to use the Farmfoods £5 off voucher and had lots of extra points vouchers too.
I'm going to curl up on sofa with a coffee and some Xmas cake now

Afternoon all
Happy Birthday nmlc.
What a horrible cold day! I've defrosted the birds' bowl twice today.
Got a nice sparkly bathroom, courtesy of Flylady, and I've made a quiche for our dins; can't be sure how long it'll take Mr LW to get home, so thought I'd do something that can be made in advance then warmed through when he gets here. We'll chuck a few chips in the fryer to go with it. Also, it was an opportunity to use up some tail-ends of cheese.
I'm sitting here wearing a furry top, a HM cardigan and one of Mr LW's fleeces, and still I can't get warm. Roll on spring!
I just got a call, Mr LW is leaving early tonight, because they want him to apply a patch at 19:00 and he needs to make sure to be home in time to do it. I hope it doesn't take long to do, as I'd like him to help me wash my hair tonight. Fingers crossed, eh?:o
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today; stay safe and warm, people. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Happy Birthday NMLC.
Can't remember when I posted last.Think I may have lost a couple of days.
OH and I were supposed to be on our way to Ireland atm but have cried off due to the state of the roads.I'm gutted to miss what will be a great family get together and to spend some time with my lovely family, particularly Pink. Anyway... better to be safe and stay warm at home than risk the Highland roads tonight.
Have done loads of housework today and have caught up with the washing and a big shopping. Also cleaned out the hens, the fridge and the cupboard under the sink.
Have just put some spuds on for a pepper and mushroom fritatta for tea and need to get the packed lunches prepped for tommorrow as the girls have requested soup.
Am finishing a hat tonight for myself as everyone elses' heads are warm bar mine.
Have fun
Haribo x0
