Take it from a bloke - that is complete and utter garbage.

Fair enough I understand your wife/gf may be reading over your shoulder, but when all boys are together we know it is true! 99.9% of single men would jump at the chance of nookie with a female friend.

Seriously mate, don't generalise. I am a single man (straight before you jump to the next conclusion!) with several female friends and really don't want to shag any of them. I'm sure that part of your post is for a laugh but it's an attitude that some men take seriously and can cause a heck of a lot of grief.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

Probably "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. No doubt sang whilst gazing into the grooms eyes. Bride gets upset and storms out, then Eastie is left stood there. She looks at everyone and says "What?".

PMSL - I can picture it as well!

At last, some honesty from a bloke. Yes ladies, we "do" every attractive women we come across in our mind. The lady behind the counter at Boots, the girl in the next car putting on her lipstick and especially you if you are a close friend and we can smell your perfume, hear your voice. Make it even easier to "do" you the closer we are to you.

Not your fault ladies, just the nature of the beast. If a man has ever spent more than 2 mins talking to you he will have given you a good seeing to in his head (unless he is a blood relative).

I don't think this thread is about whether men can have platonic female friends without fantasising about 'doing them' or giving them a 'good seeing to' (what disgusting expressions, imho).

    There IS a thread here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2190285
    that discusses this.

In my opinion, this is about whether the OP should attend the wedding of a long-time friend (who happens to be a member of the opposite sex and an ex boyfriend) after she has been caught out exchanging suggestive messages and making silly jokes, some of them with sexual innuendos (the OP's words, not mine) with him.

If he is your friend - and I'm not sure a few e-mails and messenger make someone a friend, I guess that depends how far apart you live etc - then you will avoid causing him any hassle with the difficult woman that he has chosen to be with.

If events are as you suggest, they will be married for a short time and then he'll be back crying on your shoulder.

I wouldn't go to a female friends wedding if the groom didn't like me and asked me not to be there.

Remember "There were three of us in this marriage and it did feel a little crowded"?

Decline graciously, send them a present and every good wish for their future happiness and then step back from your friendship with your Ex. If these two are not well suited, there could be trouble ahead for them and you don't want to be seen to have played even a small part in undermining their relationship.

Too late. I'd be devastated if I started trashing someone's marriage even before it started
