Hi Sal

I think he's a very brave guy for just 'getting off'. People shouldn't be in a relationship if they are not happy. I wish i had the ba**s to do that. But the kids should 'add' him on facebook because it's an exellent tool for keeping in contact- especially with someone who's overseas! Personally i think you should have words with them. :money:0

Thank you 3_cheeky-princesses, for taking the time to post.
And Missmoneypenny, thanks for the link to the CSA thread, I'll take a look at that soon. Once the weather gets better, I'll make an appt to go see the solicitor too and see what she has to say.

Maybe he will but I highly doubt it, the kids don't want to "friend" him anyway.and why would he want to provide 'emotional support' to the mom??

Regardless if he doesnt like his ex much, he had two children with her and raising them whether you are together as a couple or not should be a two parent thing.
Speaking from personal experience, my father left when I was 1, I managed to track him down (he moved around a lot) when I was 13, he called me and we arranged to meet, we had a good day together, he promised to keep in touch ... he didnt.
Fast forward to when I was 16 and he got in touch again, and again I went to meet him (like the mug I am) and we spent the day together, he again said he would keep in touch ... he didnt.
I know how much it hurts to have a parent abandon you, not once, but three times, so its not as easy as saying the kids in this case should friend him on facebookDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

One of my friends has made up a name and he's added her to his Facebook!
He hasn't made any posts at all since he opened the account back in 2008, it just says on his profile what his job title is, the company name and the country (Middle East)
There's about 20 people on his friends list, but no one I know or remember, seems just like people he either works beside or knows from abroad.
