  • Does anyone know how for many weeks the cold weather payments were paid out in the east ayrshire area?
Also need to check if incapacity benefit is a qualifying benefit for the payments.

Dont know how many payments were made but incapacity benefit is not a qualifying benefit anyway.
  • I am on Income Support and Carers allowance. I checked on the postcode checker and it says my area is due 5 payments. I haven't received any letters or payments to date?

Do you get any of the qualifying benefits? Income support or JSA?

You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child who is under five in the family

  • I just get Income Support and Carers Allowance... Last March I received £60 in my bank account which I assumed was the cold weather payment. Does this mean I'm not entitled to it with just those benefits?

    Kind Regards
  • I don't have any of the other qualifying things, I was just confused because of the money I received last March.

The £60 was a one off and unrelated to CWPs.
