Thanks, I phoned and it turns out I'm not entitled, I didn't read the conditions properly. Oh well, will have to miss out on the logs we thought we could buy. Cheers for the reply.Bankruptcy and Supporters club... Member 340.

My friend, who has no access to internet, is on income support. She checked the postcode finder at xmas and again 2day. each time the postcode finder has said she is entitles to payments (4 on todays enquiry) and each time she phones to find out why no payment. She is told not entitled. Looking at your pdf file confirms that by 6th Jan she was due 3.
What can she do to rectify this?0 -

What other benefits does she claim?
Income Support, on its own, doesn't qualify for CWP, as can been seen on the criteria posted on the 1st post:
You may be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment if you get Pension Credit or income-related Employment and Support Allowance with a support or work related activity component in the main phase. You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:- a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
- a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
- a disabled child premium
- Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
- a child who is under five in the family
