Cold weather payments: quickly check if you're entitled

I checked my Post Code on this site to see what i was entitled to, it said 3 payments of £25. I just recieved £25 payment on Sat 16th Jan for 4th to 10th Jan. So i just phoned Job Centre Plus, they inform me i have to wait till the end of Jan and see if im paid through main office ?. If not then they will sort it if they think im entitled. They then said the Main Office have to sort out thousands & thousands, so i could be in the list. They didn't understand that if my payment is for jan 4th to the 10th then obviously they've missed my other two payments.
"you will still have to wait"
Any Thoughts

Wooaahh, I don't know if you meant it the way it sounds (to me, and possibly other persons reading) but there's no need for that tone.
DX has been one of the most informative posters on these threads; you may like to read through them to see.
I'll be honest, I'm amazed at how calm people are at relaying the same info they've relayed for weeks. Better people than I can ever be, I'd be screaming blue murder by now. :rotfl:.
The thing that you [by virtue of your comments] , and, I assume others forget is; this is a voluntary site, everyone who posts here is doing so on their own time, why not be thankful for the advice that's given by 'lay-men' rather than chastise because you don't hear what you want to .

I haven't received any of the Cold Weather Payments. I have done the postcode checker and I am entitled to 4 payments! I have a disabled son under 16 years, for whom I receive the higher rate of DLA. I also receive Working Family Tax Credits. The websites all say that I should get it automatically! Can anyone let me know who to chase this up with?0

You would need to be receiving Child tax credits and not working tax credits alongside also receiving one of the qualifying benefits.
Do you receive those? We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Hi everyone Im new around here.
As I receive IS I am entitled to CWP. I received a letter the other day saying I was entitled to one.
I phoned to query this as someone who lives just 3 miles away from me was entitled to 3.
My postcode is IG10 which is Essex and I was told by the benefits people I come under Heathrows weather station. But according to the Met Office my local weather station is Harlow. Obviously I am going to appeal this as Harlow is just 6 or so miles from me and Heathrow is some 50 miles away.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this and should I go ahead with an appeal on my own or would it be advisable to consult the CAB or even my local MP?
Thanks in advance.0 -

Hi. Yes I did and it says 1 and I thought this was incorrect as it stayed cold for longer here. I then put in my friends who is 3 miles away and it says she gets 3. Thats when I phoned to be told I come under Heathrows weather station. I then phone the Met Office and they said they cannot comment on CWP but my nearest weather office was Harlow.0
