    Hi guys,

I don't think I updated on 3 June, silly me! It wasn't good, I put back on the 1.5 that I'd lost! So I was right back up to 210! However, this week I lost a pound, so 209. It's better than nothing and I wasn'texpecting anything!

    Have a great week

    Hi all :hello:

Following my discovery that I started to gain weight after I joined Facebook last year I have decide to limit my time on there to as little as possible - I started Monday last. I also came up with an excuse as to why I cannot go to a gathering of my OHs family tomorrow, which is also less stress for me.

I feel great! How weird is that? And the diet is going brilliant so far (but it is early days)

    Ta-ta.

    Hi All,

I'm new around here but this thread caught my eye as I'm trying to loose a few inches, to ensure I fit into my wedding suit next month (I know leaving it a bit late!) & am a DFW.

Considering my biggest enemy in achieving both of these goals is my fondness of a glass of wine or a beer at the end of a hard days work - this seems the perfect place to focus my attentions!

On the weight front: I'm currently a 34" waist, having always been a 32" waist from since I can remember uptill last year, so my aim is to drop down a size to 32" again. My actual weight is 68kg & want to take that down to 61KG, as my long term goal.

I am trying to achieve this by monitoring my calorie intake & exercising. Lucky for my future wife but unlucky for me, she can eat as much of anything she wants & not change weight at all, which makes it difficult for me as her portion sizes are generally on the large size! As we both enjoy a glass of wine as well, neither of us ever need much persausion if the one of us suggests it.

    On the money front:
I have one large bank loan, a current account with O/D & a joint account with O/D with same bank, a credit card with same bank (£0 Balance), a credit card with another bank (pay off the balance each month) & a savings account for the up coming wedding! I have recently re-fianced my loan to have it all in one place (therefore more controllable) & my current account is in credit (just). My loan is over a 6 year term but I have personal & family aspirations to have it cleared before then.

Unfortantly I know that with the wedding I'm about to have a few large out lays but taking them into account, I am going to try just carrying cash with me & leaving my cards at home, to try & stop me impuse buying the bottle of wine at the end of the day.

Reading through the posts already on the thread, there are some really inspirational stories & I hope to be able to share mine in the months to come :)
