Hi all!
Glad to report a loss of -1.5lbs this week, but need to up my game to hit my goal for my holiday in June.
Gee it's quiet in here.... *tap tap*Mortgage-Free WannabeMortgage at start [20/6/12]: £151,800/MFD Jun 2035 (age 65)Mortgage now [5/11/14]: £139,212.14/MFD Oct 2029 (age 59)Personal Library 2014:starmod: Read in 2014: 57/60 :starmod: In Progress: 2 :starmod: Books In: 94 :starmod: Books Out: 12 :starmod: TBR: 847 :starmod:0 -
Sorry for being AWOL...I've been a busy bee lately & am finding it difficult to keep up with most of the threads I regularly read & post on, & to top it off, I've hit a rock - I've put on a bit of weight again & can't seem to budge from 10 stone again.
It is so frustrating as I don't have much to lose, I just want half a stone gone to be back at my ideal weight, what I think suits me best...but I can't shift it, no matter what I eat or don't eat, or how often I exercise
Congratulations to everyone losing, you're doing really well x:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Hang in there! I think everyone hits a wall at some point or other, but if you're doing all the right things, it HAS to change sometime, eh?Mortgage-Free WannabeMortgage at start [20/6/12]: £151,800/MFD Jun 2035 (age 65)Mortgage now [5/11/14]: £139,212.14/MFD Oct 2029 (age 59)Personal Library 2014:starmod: Read in 2014: 57/60 :starmod: In Progress: 2 :starmod: Books In: 94 :starmod: Books Out: 12 :starmod: TBR: 847 :starmod:0 -
Oh I hope so Thrifty! I cycled into work again today & will cycle home too, it's about 20mins each way so that should help...need to measure myself again really & check that way, but I don't think I look any different so am scared nothing has changed there either!
Thanks for your kind words, I might try to find some time this weekend to go for a run, even if it's just a couple of times round the block that's better then nothing!:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Wow it really is quiet round here these days, has everyone reached their target weight except me?
I saw an offer on Topcashback today where you get 3 months on Weightwatchers for free, I thought this might be worth a go until I saw I would be paying just under £30 & would still be waiting for the cashback about 3 months later...is it worth it do you think?:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

I'm lurking Pernicious!Unfortunately I am battling with the same 4lbs that I put on over xmas! When I lose those, I will be back to 10 stone, then I need to get on with toning up my legs and arms.
Have kind of lost my mojo with exercise lately - I said I was going to post a review of an exercise DVD on here, but sadly I still haven't done the DVD.I do still enjoy walking and go three times a week, but can't muster enthusiasm for anything else at the moment.
I stopped posting as I didn't want to just come on the thread to moan (which I've just done - sorry!) Doesn't help that I had two teeth extracted last week and the throbbing in my gum is driving me mad! Will be back when I have something positive to report!0 -
I know what you mean, keep meaning to go running but if a couple of friends of mine aren't going (& they haven't been lately due to having other things to do) then I just can't bring myself to go alone...Hopefully this Thursday we will get back into it, I certainly need to as my bike wheels are a bit flat & I need to get a pump, so I haven't even cycled this week
At least you have a good excuse thereI hope you feel better soon & get your mojo back!

Well not me, that's for sure!
I started (yet another) diet and exercise plan 3 days ago and (dare I say it) it is going quite well so far.
The cunning plan is to eat less and to exercise everyday. The exercise is to be a minimum of 40 minutes walking or 20 minutes on my exercise bike. Yesterday I managed an hour and a half walk and was well under on my calories.
So fingers crossed that this time I can succeed.:DWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Good luck
This is the kind of thing I was aiming for, but it's all gone to pot! I have some time off work soon (booked the 3 days in between the bank hols
) so I will find it easier then I think. Hopefully 11 days is long enough to make it an ingrained habit so when I go back to work it sticks...I'm still tempted by this weight watchers thing though, having a diet to stick to as well as extra exercise has got to work, but would I stick to it?!
