  • Morning peeps, thank god it’s Friday.

Have had a reasonably good week this week, the house is looking quite good for a weeks worth of Flylady and my NSD’s have been quite reasonable too.

On the Flylady side of things, I am currently looking at the said bookcase that is on the list to be decluttered and tidied…what am I thinking?!? It looks like a load of two year olds has just thrown everything at it and it’s stayed. Oh hum, will keep me busy I guess.

Couple of things happening today, got my overlocker being picked up and got shopping being delivered this evening. I need to post DH’s expenses £265 to come when they clear it their end.

We have got 10 days until DH gets paid, and we need to batten down the hatches again if we are to get through next month. I am so tempted to break into the demi-john and bank whatever is in there but I promised myself that this year I won't and it'll be used for Christmas.

    Have a good day everyone.

It's kids bedrooms day on flylady - that always terrifies me :rotfl:

Stay strong regarding the demijohn - you can do this!!

I agree stay strong about the demi john.
10 days isn't too far away just see it as one of your challenges...I know you can do it.
  • Morning, it’s Saturday :D

Nothing much to report moneywise other than we may be in dire straights more than ever.

DH said last night that the redundancies have started at work and that they are doing it site by site, as soon as one site finishes completely they assess everyone and do the redundancies and then move on to the next site that finishes etc…DH could be redundant by mid March! Got everything crossed that he isn’t and that they look at his performance against the other person (who’s a bit lax anyway) and decide to keep DH.

I will stay out of the demi-john for as long as possible. I need to, I must do!

Have a good day everyone and hugs to those that need one.

Ooh, fingers crossed that things go DH way then! Spend these next few days planning your contingency plan, then if he gets the bad news, you are able to work out whats what without so much panic (easier said than done, I know), rather than just hope everything is ok, then having to deal with it when it happens, if that makes sense!

Sorry to hear that..keeping fingers crossed for you.I agree with the others in writing out a worst case scenario budget..
  • Haven’t had chance to update today until now…but here I am (just when you thought it was safe to venture on to Diaryland)

Sold two items on Amazon over the weekend, which went into the post this morning; spent £2.92 postage but have made a profit of 16p...still it’s better than nothing and gets rid of some more dust catchers.

Have spent some money on the groceries that is needed for this week, the main shopping order is coming next Tuesday after DH gets paid. I also got a new mop as the last one was tatty especially after being outside all winter. Total grocery spend £15.44.

DS has climbing tonight after school, so that’s something to look forward to. I took a flask of tea last week rather than paying £1 per drink and it worked out well.

Have sorted through all the kids clothes and have a new batch for e-baying, now we have some room in the house I can get them on and hopefully sold. Promised DS and DD that if the clothes sold then I would treat them to the Lion King on DVD.

I have joined the Flylady challenge again this week and aim to be a bit more decluttered and dust free this week, the house has never looked so good; DH asked if I was pregnant!?! Would be hard to do….he said I was ‘nesting’, I told him I was get rid of accumulated tat from years gone by.

So apart from necessary spends that are in the budget I am declaring today a NSD, I am aiming for 5 this week.

  • Morning what a cold day it is today :( Roll on the better and much warmer weather. My back feels very tender today for some reason so I think I may need to take it easy and not overdo things.

Counting down the days until DH gets paid and keeping fingers crossed that he is still in a job come the end of March, he’s currently feeling very demotivated which is no surprise really based on the job situation at work.

So on to today, got my list from the Flylady thread to work through as well as other little bits to be done.

Latest Amazon payment and Child Benefit has been paid into the bank and at some point I need to get the kids clothes photographed and listed on e-bay.

    Have a good day everyone.
