Sorry to hear about your OH, but ... it is better than redundancy ... dont forget to check out f whether you may now qualify for Tax Credits after losing income.

WOW..that's a big bill and sorry to hear about OHs reduction in wages.
  • Well sorry that I’ve not logged on until now, even this one will be a quickie. My great friend (bit like a father to me and is also DD’s Godfather) was admitted to hospital yesterday and is under going tests to find out what the problem is/was. He said that he’s likely to be released tomorrow but is still unsure. So off to the hospital I go tonight, I am taking his lovely wife as she is pretty immobile at present.

On the upside, I did a price comparison online yesterday for the gas/electric and couldn’t come up with anything that would save us money, however my old supplier came round today and said that the quote online is when it’s dealt with online only and that they’d send me out some info so I can compare prices and look at going back with them :)

The other thing is that DH checked, double checked and triple checked his salary reduction and he said that we’d lose £140 per month not £600 as originally thought, if he’d been earning any higher, he’d have joined his other colleagues who have lost that amount and more, so thanks god for small mercies as they say. No redundancies yet but offers for voluntary ones and early retirement are being considered.

I have had a look at Tax Credits and I am trying to persuade DH that we need to apply for them as it would claw back some of the money we would be losing come April but I think he’s going to need some working on.

Either way we do need to be very, very careful and more of the NSD’s and surveys to be had this year I think…I confess though I’ve not done very much of those this week.

Hugs to everyone who’s going through something or other at the moment.

On my third NSD this week :D so need to keep that up.
  • Morning already, I feel really tired at the moment. Went to see my friend last night and spend £2 on parking, so bang went my NSD; today won’t be one either as I have a present and a card to get for DS’s friend’s birthday on Sunday.

Most of yesterday was spent sorting the finances so no Flyladying was done however today some should get done and judging by the list most of it I did yesterday anyway for the bit of cleaning that I did do.

DS has a school friend over for playtime and dinner after school so that should be good. He only lives round the corner so easy to walk him back too.

    Have a good day everyone.

I've got two days off, plus the weekend - I really should manage to get it all done - just have to put the effort in. Then next weeks lists will be much easier because the hard part will have been done already.

Remember too that I have less furniture in my house at the moment, than I would usually have, so things like hoovering and cleaning paintwork will be a whole lot easier as I don't have to navigate round things!

    That's the theory, anyway!
